[Announce] - TwimGo - Twitter client for N900/Qt Web Runtime
 

I crafted a small and simple Twitter client, TwimGo, for my N900 which runs on Qt Web Runtime. You can see demo video and download wrt file from here.

As said, you'll need to install Qt Web Runtime from extras-devel repo first and then you can click the wrt file in your browser and it will install like any other app.

Please leave any feedback here or on my blog.

When i type using the hw keyboard all my letters are capital letters

Same here. That's a bug in Qt Web Runtime. You can get lower case characters when pressing shift key :) I suggest to use virtual keyboard - it seems to work better.

very strange!

If I try to use another twitter account, TwimGo works fine.

When I try to use my real account, I get oauth error. And I've used the right password. Any idea?

As posted on http://www.substanceofcode.com/2010/...or-nokia-n900/ I reinstalled it and it now works fine.. just remove, reinstall, reboot and run!

Also, I noticed that while the keyboard tries to autocomplete, you CAN use the hw keyboard. Just continue typing and u'll have what you wanted to enter available at the end!

I´ve already reinstalled, but it didn´t work for me.

It´s very weird because it works when I use another twitter account.

But if I try to login with my twitter account, I got that error message.

You should install Qt Web Runtime first.

Then, just copy the file to your device and click on it.

Nice app! It's Already my favourite Twitter app even though it's a bit buggy but that's to be expected for an Alpha. The Tweet details screen in particular is awesome

My date and time is correct and it is updated from the network.

To fix the oauth problem, I got rid of the "@" from my password and set my correct location in the Twitter settings.

Just transfer the file to your N900, open File Manager and click on it.

hey thanks, just discovered i didnt actually have qt web runtime after all, its working great now

if the dev can just get auto refresh and hw keyboard support and some other small features it will be killer app

It'd be better if twimgo could show the username of the profiles insted their real name.

Another simple but great thing, is to show what application people have used to post their tweets.

I´ve just found it now.

But it´d better to put this information in the main screen. So we can see it without need to click on the tweet.

And it has space enought for it :)

Waiting for DM & autorefresh to be added... other stuff works well.. sometime you have text leaking into the next box, but thats ok..

Install the QT Web Runtime (available in extras-devel - usual warnings apply).

Then you can click on the .wgt file and it will launch App Manager and install just like any other N900 app.

when i try to install qt web runtime it tells me i'm missing : libqtm-bearer, libqtm-contacts, libqtm-location, libqtm-messaging

how can i get this? can I retrieve this with apt-get command in terminal? i'm not too hot with linux could someone give me specific instructions?

I added the auto-login to alpha 2 version that I released last Sunday. Auto-refresh and other stuff that I'm currently crafting are coming out next weekend (hopefully) :)
