Nokia is undergoing a tough, challanging mission. We're not going to apologize that we're not Apple or Google or Samsung. We are Nokia and we are unique!

Today we shift into high gear in the fight for smartphone leadership.

Savander is as horrible as allways. Connecting people quip was good, but theres no need for endless Apple remarks like "one more thing" and "you can hold it ayway you want".

They're going to get compared to Apple regardless of what they do, so why not admit it in the talk? ;)

Re: NW2010 Keynote thread.

"Its about the here and now"....surely that means the n900 will get a mention and what we can expect for it in the future doesnt it?......doesn't it? this cant just be a symbian sales pitch surely? :-P

lma 2010-09-14 08:41

Re: NW2010 Keynote thread.

"We will not make any MeeGo product launches today. More on that before the year is out." That's that then.

Re: NW2010 Keynote thread.

what i meant was, all those talks so long they managed to avoid the use of word such as "maemo" or "N900" like it never existed

or maybe i was wrong, because i didn't watched it from the start...

No, that's good, it means there's still a chance the Harmattan device will have a decent keyboard.

We would not be here without your passion and love of our devices. there has been a lot of talk in some of the nokia blogs and communities that we have abandoned some of our devices released in the last year, specifically the n900. I want to tell you today that we accept our communication has not been the best but NOKIA does not abandon its consumers unlike, you could argue, apple who are now starting to drop support for their 3g phone which is still used by millions. To prove it and to show our committment we have just released pr1.3 available... right now to download and we will continue to support this device as long as you are all still using it"

AMAZING NEWS, THANKS DUDE. But where's pr1.3?
where are you following the event, which website?
edit: not cool

you do realize that the E7 is NOT the leaked N9? The E7 was leaked and some speculated that it was the N9, until the real N9 was leaked.

Not sure about anyone else but so far I am pretty disappointed.
