It seems Meego 1.1 will be released in october for N900, and new device will be released in 2011 April with Meego 1.2.

I am sorry to say it but for me Meego Handset is dead :( Not a word about meego soo far at Nokia World.

Just saw the full keynotesvideo from today....

Just symbian, symbian, symbian...

And with the new CEO and no replacement Annsi so far at, Mobile N series, with cannot be sure et all that Meego Handset will continue by Nokia. And if not Nokia use Meego no one will.

The fact is they havent spend that mush money on Maemo/Meego as in the case of Symbian so if they kill Meego Handset they better do it now.....

Have to say I never believed those prototypes were the N9. Seemed like significant lack of imagination for their highest end device to just be the N8 with keyboard.

That was pretty much supposed to look the N8 but with a keyboard(E7), as the rumored N9 looks different and much more macbook air-ish.

Are we talking about the same device? The announced E7? As presented today? Looks HORRIBLE? The super-slim full metal 4" beast with a qwerty kb? I must go get my eyes checked because to me the E7 is much more aesthetically pleasing than even the iPhone 4 (which IMO until today was the most beautiful piece of tech ever built).

O well, you're entitled to your opinion............

is that the rumored n9? after using maemo, i don't think i can ever go back to symbian anymore. besides having experienced from 9500 to e90, interface wise a lot of things were downgraded instead of upgrading other than hardware. i don't know how much more office features will be even more dumbed down with symbian^3.

This youtube video claims (2min 55sec in) no SD card support. 16GB only.

4inch awesome screen, yet can only fit a few movies on it. WTF are Nokia smoking. U have to buy the cable and a USB stick for more storage.

Why can't Nokia stop the stripping features from some phones just to support sales of another... something the new CEO needs to fix

The E series isn't about the high-end. If it was speced with everything how would it be different than the N9, just the OS? What's wrong with creating different segments at different price points. Not everyone is a power user.

The N9 won't be crippled.

the problem with creating different segments is the loss of a single true flagship phone to lust after.

you have to carry the n8 (for camera)and e7(keyboard and display) and n900 (browser) for the almost perfect phone

they need to make n9 the superphone, and dont skimp on the xenon flash.. but i'm afraid they may strip features to protect n8 e7 sales....

ai man, the n900 was a first of its kind. i love the thing, i have a bloody full runnning pc in my pocket (with a little tweaking and dev packages of course). I honestly do not understand why everyone keeps moaning about the bloody thing.
