Multiboot: Maemo, NITDroid, and what else?

Hey guys, I have been reading about multibooting (0.2.10-1?). I used the NITDroid installer (0.2.7) to set up NITDroid and I was wondering what else is possible to boot on the N900. Meego demo? Ubuntu?

I assume you just have to create another partition on the SD card for the OS and then add an .item file to the multiboot folder.

So my questions are as follows;

What else is bootable from the N900?

Is there a thread explaining how to do it?

Isn't that more of just emulating Windows 95 under DOSBox?

I'm much more interested into booting Ubuntu than MeeGo, however - what else has successfully been booted on the N900? I remember hearing something about Mer?

WOW! So you can boot Maemo 5, MeeGo, Ubuntu, Debian, and NITDroid.

What is the deal with Fedora, Mer, and Neopwn?

The installation looks simple enough as long as you have NITDroid installed (bootloader already set up) basically just create the partitions and make .item files in multiboot.d?

Could you enlighten me on MeeGo? Is it stable at all?

Thank you, very informative.

Also any other links you could provide would be great.

Edit: found this for MeeGo: http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/N900/Install/MMC

Re: Multiboot: Maemo, NITDroid, and what else?

Honestly, I didn't try to install MeeGo yet, because there are no proprietary drivers in the image(right now people have to compile their own images), so things like GSM, 3G, camera are not working. But I will definitely try it when nokia releases the image.
About Fedora, you can install it but you will only see the black console. Mer, I didn't try and Neopwn you can't get it right now, unless you buy their flash card with preinstalled neopwn.

There are other bootloaders too, but yea. Also, you system needs to be modified for n900. So, you can't just download armel linux and boot it.
You need to copy kernel binaries, and do other stuff to make it work.

Gotcha, I am not a Linux guru by any means - I would really love to boot Debian and Ubuntu. Is there anymore documentation that you could possibly link to or provide that will make the installation of Debian and Ubuntu a bit simpler?

I found this about Mer: http://wiki.maemo.org/Mer/Status - looks pretty useless to me.

I can only give you a link to ubuntu installation guide.

But you already saw it. Right now, there is almost no benefit of booting into full system. It runs faster than easy debian, but many things don't work. For example, you can't receive calls. Also, battery charge is experimental there, so it can possibly ruin your battery. Also,I am concerned about using EXT3 as filesystem. Ext3 was designed for harddrives, not flashcards. Basically, it can kill your flashcard faster.
