My problem with calling via NITDroid
 

I try calling via NITdroid to my dad

it can call. but i hear nothing neither from it or from his phone.

i've tried reinstall and do it again but it was the same.

how should i do?

and my back button is the soft-touching camera button (i don't know how to write this = =) while it should be the lock button

is this serious?

Audio is not yet supported for phonecalls in NITDroid.

Voice calling does not work yet. This is a known problem. A little searching should turn up multiple references to this.

the button layout changed in the latest version of nitdroid so it should be the cam focus key for back. i'm still using the old version (waiting for auto installer) so cant help with the calls problem.

Well, please be patient and do not demand so much and be grateful for what the NITDroid development team has brought to us. Thanks to them we can have a taste of those tasty droid desert on our N900.

Have you check the changelog at nitdroid.com? It clearly said don't make calls.

i heard skype via android and most other phone brands wasnt excactly free as the calls still use your monthly minutes and data usage combined and remember reading some where this was a problem for people who travel a lot for work,
later found out that its free of certain modle psp's and the n900 arent we just so lucky lol

isn't possible to disable the flying mode? it's always enabled...

EDIT: Problem Solved. I eliminated the pin request in maemo mode

With ur guide i can able to install gingerbread in my N900 but there is only one problem i found is about CALLS. I attend a incoming call where i couldn't hear anything from caller & there was only noice was listen by caller(hisssss sound).

Is there any update to fix this problem? plz help...

Also i'm here in UAE(Dubai) & using du network (3G)...

only way you can do voice calls via nitdroid is a voip like skype or google voice. i use google voice. give it time devs hard as work getting voice to work. took almost year to get sms working cause the phone portion of the phone is locked down so trying to develop needed drivers isnt that easy when your working in the dark.
