Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
Hi. Thanks for creating this thread. I have used it as scummvm Maemo5 package XSBC-Bugtracker URL. I hope you don't mind :-)
scummvm 1.2.0 binary (same as at scummvm.org) is now uploaded to OS2006 and OS2007 repositories 1.2.0 source is also uploaded to diablo and fremantle extras-devel autobuilders. Please report any bugs here. I guess I'll promote diablo extras-devel package to extras tomorrow after testing it a bit. Same for maemo5 extras-devel to extras-testing (1 am here, going to sleep). As I don't have any SCI game, I would appreciate reports how usable it is, there are currently no Maemo specific keybindings for SCI engine (and I hope none are needed). |
Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
It is in extras-testing now, please test and vote accordingly.

Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
Anyone know how to save your game in lasy larry 1 vga? I can't seem to save from the scumm menu as in some other games, mentioned in previous threads but cant figure out how to get the menu up...

Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
Got it, there is a menu at the top of the screen, just click here and you can save games and then open them in scumm ;)

Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
Thanks for the great port! :D
One thing I noticed the enter key is not recognized in (at least) King's Quest IV (SCI Version), so it's impossible to get through the copy protection question (and, i would assume also to enter commands later in the game). This seems to be due to the keybindings in the n900-version, as it works the way it's supposed to be in scummvm 1.2.0 on my Ubuntu box. Any help appreciated. If I can provide any more information, I'll do my best to help :) |

Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
When is the next version due to be released? Future game compatability?
Anyone managed to get Bud Tucker or Return to Zork to work - they are listed in the ScummVM compatability list |
Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available

Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
Hi fanoush!
This seriously is like the best release ever and I can't stop smiling. :) Any chance you could feature a right click for all of these new games that are supported? I was thinking something like holding down the center D-Pad for this. If not, I'll go back through an old post of mine and do a script thingy using xbindkeys and xmodmap. Thanks for reading my request. :) |
Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
D-Pad ... that sounds like an N8x0 or N7x0, as there is no D-Pad on N900. Probably the solution for right click is the same as on the N900: Hold down "Shift" key while clicking, you get right-clicks. ;)
BTW with holding "Strg" you can place the cursor without clicking. |
Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
I need some help with this. I really wish I hadnt meddled with things.
This has been working fine for me for ages. I was just settling down to play a bit of Broken Sword and I decided to change the graphic settings to: x3 Now the program doesnt start at all. It just shows a black screen for a couple of seconds and then closes itself. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Rebooting the phone etc but to no avail. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. |

How do I do this under X Term?
(I've only had my N900 for a month, I'm still learning lol) |

Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
Nice one, cheers for the tip mate. I did end up installing Midnight Commander and doing it through there but without your tip I wouldn't have known what to delete. Thanks man, I can settle down and play Broken Sword again!
Tip to anyone else: dont change ScummVM graphic settings to x3 because the N900 don't like it for some reason. |
Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 available
Hi,
I've got a problem with scummvm. For some games, especially the AGI ones, you need the function keys (F1-F10) at some point to complete the game. In my case, in Leisure Suit Larry 1, i need F4, F6 and F8 (I think) for the games at the casino. I didn't get it to work with an external keyboard (although the function keys worked with the midnight commander) or with remapping the hardware keyboard of the N900. I _think_ the function keys are mapped to different keys somewhere in the source. I read somewhere that for the S60 port, they are on Alt+q - Alt+p, but i can't try it with my N900 because there's no alt key. Is it possible to change that so you can use Shift+q - Shift+p as the function keys? Regards, eagle_linux |
