My Keyboard shortcuts copy + paste using hovering mode not working, Is your copy paste keyboard shortcuts working? Or has any one has the same problems as I Do? I just got my new n900 in begining of October 2010… with latest firmware R1.2

I had same, after installing some dodge app. I had to re-flash it. Worked fine after the re-flash.

If you have not re-flashed it yet, you may as well get used to it, as you will have to do it a number of time if you use dev.

yes man you should get used to reflash, its going to take some time to get used to the super epic open source maemo5, and while you are adopting you will mess up some system files from time to time, but you will get used to it, and there is always something new, wish makes maemo5 the bomb.

I have the same problem (Ctrl C and Ctrl V not working). I have had the same problem before but reboot used to fix this but not anymore. Does anyone have any idea how I could check what is the problem and how I could fix it? I am not going to reflash the device because of this.

for me it works perfect.
all my mods,commands,overclocks and hacks are made over my n900.perfect for xterm,can copy all kind of codes and paste them into xterm;)

I can also copy text using the button in the top menu, it is just the keyboard shortcuts that have sopped working.

i don't think the shortcuts work on xterm, but they are working pretty much everywhere else for me (i can still copy/paste from/to xterm and other programs)

My problem is in the browser. And specifically Ctrl-C. I can't copy from here. Ctrl-V works (I thought it was also broken but checked it again).

you can pastethe thing in xterm via the upper bar.
there is a paste option ;)

Yes I know. It is just irritating that I do not know why the Ctrl-C does not work on browser.

are you on pr1.2?
tried to reboot?
have you installed some custom keyboard apps?

I think that I have around 100 installed apps so it would be quite impossible to find out which (if any) of those is causing the problem.

I am more interested in finding out if there is a switch (command) somewhere that can be used to force the Ctrl-C to work again.

As said, I can always copy with the button in the drop down manu so this is just a irritating problem.

My works fine now, after I re-flash the phone. But some bug still there, it does not show you when you have copied some thing. but so far it works, thanks guys. I would be good if there is a kernel that you can use to switch on and off the copy paste function like some one said here.
