well, well, well....time to say bye bye to N900. All the OS are getting their up-grades in no time EXCEPT the F*****Maemo!!! ( sorry for the bad word ) but really got annoyed & fed-up. huuuuuuuuuuh....WHYYYYYYYYYY?

Android is Android, Maemo is Maemo, MeeGo is MeeGo...

They are 3 different things.... Maemo is much more powerful than Android, although Android is also a GNU/Linux distribution too, I like Maemo more, and I think (Many others too) it's more powerful.
Maemo is cool, more open than Android, but still, not totally open-source...

You have no idea what you are talking about! You think the developers will stay there and play with their b***s, and MeeGo will be made?
Well, it's not like that, MeeGo is gonna be totally open-source, and that needs lots of work.
So, please stop whining about this one thing! Enjoy what is available...

Also, you may like to go there and join their team if you want MeeGo sooner!

True.

The way I looked at OSs, powerful and flexible, are maemo > Android > iOS.

Android is kind of in between the two. But what really really bother me, is we had 770, when the world has no tablet, when the world has no small screen that runs a powerful os as maemo. That was 2005. Yes, that was 2005, that was Reggie built this forum. And ...

And now, we are chasing the butts of all those 'baby'Os. WHY?

To add salt to injuy, maemo has been declared EOL by the creator.

I am speechless.

Edit: I do have some speech :), Reggie, maemo council, are we having any ideas about the future naming or we stick to our gun, for nostalgia?

Maemo is (just) another Linux distro, nothing to be speechless about. I think of them in terms of boredom (more is worse):
iOS = WinM7 > Android > Maemo = Symbian

I guess Google has more people working on android than Nokia has working on maemo.
