My 3G connection is a ****, but well... at some places, is the only thing I have. Since I updated to 1.3 I didn't installed Joiku yet, but I had a lot of problems with 1.2. Usually, my computer connect on the Joiku created network but with no data tranfer. Since it works great tto you, I would like to know. Are you using default kernel or Power? ty |

Re: Joiku after PR1.3 not working
Hi,
Joikuspot works perfectly on my N900 PR1.3 (Marche tres bien, chez BouyguesTelecom) |
Re: Joiku after PR1.3 not working
Looks like I ran into the same problem as the OP, or at least it seems like it's the same problem...sort of.
-Installed Joikuspot on PR1.2, stock kernel, works fine. -Updated to PR1.3 via NSU, reinstalled joikuspot (lost all my apps due to NSU), joikuspot works great. -Installed Kernel-Power, joikuspot seems okay; however, my computer will *ALWAYS* say "the connection to the server was reset" when attempting to connect to ANY site via my joiku'd N900 router. -Uninstalled/reinstalled joiku (twice) while still using Kernel-Power, still getting "connection reset" issue. -Uninstalled kernel-power, reverted back to the stock kernel and joiku still was giving me the same error. -Using the stock kernel, uninstalled joiku, then reinstalled it - NOW it's working properly. After this series of unfortunate events, I think it's safe to say that Joikuspot does not work with PR 1.3 when using Kernel-Power, at least on my device. I don't know if it worked on PR 1.2 w/kernel-power installed... What do you guys think? |
Re: Joiku after PR1.3 not working
To crtxodd16,
you wrote "-Updated to PR1.3 via NSU, reinstalled joikuspot (lost all my apps due to NSU), joikuspot works great." Please let me know how you reinstalled Joikuspot? I purchased and installed from the N900 and do not have a copy of the install file on another system and do not know where it is on the N900. TIA Andy |
Re: Joiku after PR1.3 not working

Re: Joiku after PR1.3 not working
If you applied the kernel update from http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=665912 then it should work just fine.
Direct link to the important post: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...5&postcount=21 If you have any connection stability issues or a low speed then check my post in ab different thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...2&postcount=48 |

I reinstalled it by cheating. That is, I downloaded the 1kb install file from another site, now i keep the file saved in my memory card so I can reinstall it whenever I wish.... If you look around on a certain sketchy site that sounds something like ip mart forum, then you can do the same. But such a thing is like lying, cheating, and stealing candy from babies to get to the top. :( I know, I'm a horrible person! Just for the record, after following the post by Gusse ( ie http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...5&postcount=21 ) then Joikuspot works great on my N900 when I have kernel-power installed. FYI: I'm using kernel-power 42 as of right now. |
Re: Joiku after PR1.3 not working
