[REQUEST] Personalized Unlock Screen
 

So, sometimes my N900 will self Unlock while in my pockets because of the simple line swipe. Is it possible to change it into something else? Like a "L" shape?

I did this on paint to express better my idea. (dont laugh at me pls... )

But we have to also disable unlocking the phone during opening the keyboard.

Well, the "password" isnt that important, I just want to avoid unlocking my phone when putting it into my pocket...

there must be someone in your pocket unlocking it mate!
its never once happened to me in over a year of use
infact ive never even used the unlock screen

and if you want to avoid neg comments change your thread title cos i came here prepared to make you a personalized unlock screen image, but what your asking for is probs a major code programming task that will take weeks to do!

I too would love to see this kind fo behavo for n900. The MazeLock application is available for Symbian phones. and i think they took the idea from Android, but either case, it woudl be awesome to be able to replace the unlock screen with this.

Also having option to only be able to unlock with this (even if eyboard is slid open, or slide-button is pulled). Just suggestions, if anyone decided to port. Options make the masses happy :D

I would suggest that the random pocket forces (whatever fleeting 'shape' they may take on) could figure out this "L" structure in no time.

I thus advise a randomized maze type affair that changes with each screen lock.

I agree with the Mazelock pattern.
1.It will not unlock n900 too easy from simple finger(or anything) swiping.
2.It work like a password.
3.It cool!

That I would need most.

There should be setting in the main settings to prevent unlocking happening with keyboard open!

Maybe some daemon could be written to do this. If daemon notices a keyboard open event and the device was locked right before that, re-lock the device right away. Or not daemon, but a dbus-event script.

Didn't find one for package osso-systemui-tklock (libsystemuiplugin_tklock.so). Is it closed source?
