Reptile Owners Thread

Any other maemoers own a reptile as a pet?

I currently own a 6 month old corn snake called Isis (see avatar). I will post pictures later.

How about you?

Edit: Here's some pics

well, I am thinking some wild animal to feed when I move to my own house. But I was thinking something like tigers, not snakes :S It could be problem to feed it in apartment though, think about it, you take him out for fresh air in the very early morning and it eats your neighbour if he is hungry :S :S

Or crocodile .. :S

It could be a smaller one like chameleon, one day..

Lol a tiger would be an awesome pet. I hear you can buy genetically modified tigers that only grow to about the size of a large dog.

They would be very expensive though and I assume you would need a special license

no point of feeding such modified animal, it has to be natural.. May be an owl?

Re: Reptile Owners Thread

I suppose owls will eat similar food to my snake. I feed it 1 or 2 pinkies (frozen baby mice) every 5 days. I don't feed it live prey as I would feel too guilty, not to mention that it's currently illegal in the UK

I'd like to feed some different animal, but couldn't decide yet. Seems feeding an owl also tough job. How do you get frozen mices btw?

You can get them from any reptile store for 30p each.

Yep. It's kind of gross at first, mainly because the poor little things look so cute.

I'm used to it now though. So far I've fed about 50 to my snake
