I'm (very) happy now with iPhone 4

so.. I was one the of crying baby complaining how bad N900 was.

Whenever I complained, these jerks came over and said "haha why don't you sell it then?"

well, I was just saying, "this is bad so improve it." I think they understood it as "I don't want this shiit."

WHATEVER.

I did what they told me to do. Sell it and buy that.

so I did. iPhone 4. Hate to admit, but this is just different world. It's just better. N900 can't beat iPhone 4 at ANYTHING.

It's a fact, and true.

so last line is
if there's people like me, thinking as N900 as geek's product and not for you, thinking N900 actually sucks,

Just sell it and come over to world of iPhone. It's awesome.

I bought my iPhone month ago, and I came to this website in like 3 month and I laughed.

YOU GUYS ARE STILL WORKING ON TWITTER APP! HAHA.

ok. I'm done.

btw, Gingerbread + N900 would be awesome too.

I'll expect your fabulous comments.

p.s.
Resistive touchscreen on N900 was HORRIBLE choice. People say each have pros and cons, but Capacitive touchscreen is just too good to have an argue like that.

Resistive screen SUCKS.

Re: I'm (very) happy now with iPhone 4

=D flipalong: yes. that's a huge problem. but "for me," N900 had too many "huge problems," some were even bigger problem than antenna problem.

Antenna is pretty frustrating too. I replaced my phone three times actually, they keep sayin it will be okay this time, but sigh... it sucks. but well, it doesn't really matter.

&thank you gerbick.

Short version: "I sold my N900 and got an iPhone because the N900 was over my head. It's nice and safe here under my bridge. Even though I'm too cool to use a geek device, thanks to the coolness boost I got from my iPhone, I'm not too cool to troll TMO. I love you and miss you guys."

Re: I'm (very) happy now with iPhone 4

It's already installed.
Sad fact is, the app is free, but each dic costs $4.99 each direction.
E-S and S-E separated.

Demo is reversing words and erasing words, they work perfectly. was very impressive.

thank you preflex, and I think I should make a nickname for people like you. Like you naming me "troll," same thing back.

you choose. "Flamer, IFI (I feel inferiority), loser, or make your own."

Re: I'm (very) happy now with iPhone 4

I have both. I prefer my N900 because NOTHING touches MicroB on N900 in terms of web browsing experience on a phone.

But yeah, iPhone4 does have TONS of apps and some apps are so good that it makes my N900 look crap in so many ways.

Still, if I had to choose between N900 and iPhone4, I would still choose N900 without hesitation.

come quick. You'll never be bored with Android or iOS. They have "apps" as opposed to maemo.

congrats on new iPhone4.. :) you just proved out that there's no better phone.. its always about the user.. well, I can't still see my self paying for apps.. and most of all I still would like to see my self writing my own apps... I'm learning with n900 and iPhone can't give me the knowledge of coding and etc. anyways, hope you'll find friends to do facetime... :D

Actually I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to buy iPhone 4.
Other than that, only tried once.

and actually, iPhone is "better." You can browse tons, literally tons of apps and choose one of your taste, and if you don't like that, you can also make an app. Even making an app is much easier on Mac.

Exactly, this is the reason.
i am very disappointed with N900.
i was loving it like nothing, but now i don't like it like nothing.

Android or ISO are the feature & rocks.

Tnx

It proves that you have not yet bought an iPhone. But you will. And then you will come to TMO to tell us all how cool and exclusive owning an iPhone is, especially when compared with the dreary N900, and become another statistic.

Re: I'm (very) happy now with iPhone 4

You bought your iPhone unlocked or with contract? Unlocked is like 900$ in US. I guess you understand that since everyone is moving away from the n900, it won't be as 'expensive' as before. Total of '600$' spent on the n900, while I couldve gone with the hd2 or G2 from htc.
Yes I am an idiot.

and sorry I forgot that iPhone 4 is much newer and expensive product.

Re: I'm (very) happy now with iPhone 4

I agree with Chase15. At the end, it all boils down to the user and his/her preference. Both phones are great in many aspects and functionality. But simply branding Honda lousy when you've just bought a Toyota simply proves an ingorant consumer. If you did proper research, you'll find out they are both great products and have historic moments. Again, it's just the user's preference and their brand association.

Okhabin, thank you very much for your comments on the N900, and have a nice day! I'm sure you're finding as much ways to justify your post-purchase experience, and it's absolutely natural.

What the hell are you talking about? Closed source wins, proved by apple. The app store has rules, you don't wanna follow them, fine stay out of it stop whining. They won't give their awesome sources away.

I can't believe I am staying with the n900, it false advertised and not awesome. Seriously, I cant believe this phone is considered 'open', while so many drivers are closed. Look at htc phones, if our n900 was open like that, then we would all have a working android port.

There you go, your entertainment. I am done trolling. Have a nice life, and buy an iPhone if you dont wanna die from depression. Lmfao

If you don't know what it is, how do you know it works?

GV != SIP (but GV can be configured to use SIP)
Skype != SIP

Mmmmm... how many of those apps would you pay for and install on your laptop, if they were available?

Rather have the 'actual' internet, fanx...

Got my n900 out yesterday actually and blew the minds of a couple of iPhone users (wipeout 3 running in psx4m), i told them they should jailbreak theirs, only then does it start to even come close to n900, and another old friend who seemed interested wheni pulled it out to write in his email address. He works with IT and servers etc so i figured pop open an xterm windows and he was well shocked that such a phone existed...

if the iPhone fans were a bit less 'all praising' and more critical of its shortcomings, they might see a little more progress with the next iteration of device..

Re: I'm (very) happy now with iPhone 4

Quick reply...
I have never seen an iPhone (seriously, I don't remember seeing one anywhere except Internet photographs).

For those who complain about resistive screen and enjoy capacitive screen: what about trackpad?
Trackpad works well for large icons in menu grid, and also short lists, though it would never work for thin lines drawing or anything precise and complex (like QtOctave with its buttons and windows and menus; by the way, there is no iPhone version of Octave, is there? though there is pay-for-it iMathlab).

Bad idea. iPhone 4 and 3Gs(with new bootrom) are stuck on tethered boot if jailbroken, which means they have to plug it in to their computers and jailbreak it again whever the battery dies or they have to reboot, or else they won't be able to boot at all.. They won't be happy with that.

No.

Everything needed to have working phone calls with audio is open source. Problem is this is written for 'real Linux' APIs, not the Android subset of Linux. Makes it a hard challenge to get it working in Android.

It would even be easier in Ubuntu on N900.

well, go to jailbreakme.com and slide "jailbreak" and you're dont jailbreaking.

and When I reboot my iPhone, it's still on there.

also, I said "I guess it's some kind of voip," and it works like charm. If it's voip thing.

please try to understand as you read.
