[Request]Terminal.Item for bootmenu

as my title says. i remember that BackupMenu had a terminal(but not any more:().

i had a really intresting convo with someone (who pm'd me). my theory is (im not sure thou, so correct me if im wrong) "/home" isnt mounted during that time so we should be able to "resize" it. right?

anyway if im worng a terminal at boot could be really useful.
i would have done it my self but i don't know were to start (iv googled so...)

Resize it? No.
I believe there is a terminal in multiboot. It was put in there a few versions ago.

By /home you mean the OPT partion?
It's a partition of the EMMC (32GB). If you want to resize it, just get a new emmc image with 5GB or 8GB OPT.

I don't know HOW you get into multiboot's terminal, but I know both version (bootmenu's and multiboot's) of BackupMenu have a terminal that you can get to.

They both ALSO allow you to resize your various partitions / make new ones, because the latest versions of BackupMenu include a bunch of system tools like that (as well as an ability to get in with SSH). At least, if I recall correctly.

As for how, I'm sure the multiboot threads should explain it.

I have tried S and I can't gain access either. I think I had issues with it last time I tried.

You need a SSH-server to be installed on the device. You can then enable SSH mode, SSH in from your computer via USB-networking, and edit things. And yes, /home/ is unmounted at that time(same as the rootFS), and can be safely edited over USB.

If you just want to change the size, run backupmenu, connect to your PC(preferably a Linux one), hit 'W' for writable-USB Mass Storage mode, then use your chosen program to edit the N900's eMMC from the computer(as it will be exposed in it's entirety).
