Dear Rovio I hope we will get this version for N900 soon:cool:

I somewhat doubt it will hit Maemo... Angry Birds Seasons never popped out on Maemo, did it?

To maemo I don't know, but to me, yes they are coming!

I hope, that this game won't be only for iOs and Android,, Guys in rovio, dont forget about us

Well no but to be honest I tried Seasons the other day and they are really boring and hard, nothing new just more levels. This one however seem to have some new birds as rivals :D

You could always install NITDroid and play it there :)

I'm sure it has something more than the maemo version.

meh. insert annoying ad here... guess what?

It still came out for that platform and not your platform.

the community could release its own map packs since a level editor is available.

Fair point.

I'm just sick of ads everywhere and will manage to live with less angry bird levels to escape them.

AdFree in the android market takes care of it. I havnt tried it on NITDroid yet, but Id imagine it should work... on regular rooted Android installs, it seems to squash those annoying slide down ads by hosts file entries.. youd never know they were supposed to be there.

Ive bought everything available for ab on the 900, and Id rather pay for the game on my Nexus One, as I did on my 900, but I dont think you have the option between free&ads vs pay&no adds.. maybe they should consider that going forward.. unless they somehow make more money from those things. <shrug>

I wish I could use my 900 for everything without having to dualboot... but having that ability is really sweet. if that UMA (wifi calling app) could work in NITDroid, or have a legit version for maemo, I wouldnt have needed this N1, but Ill admit its a fun extra toy to have. :)

For me the game crashed the first time I tried to launch a bird. I was in a rush and haven't had a chance to try again. Maybe if I disable the sound it'll be more gentle...

I know, for this reason I've installed gingerbread, and it was my better solution than waiting and playing with preenv because it senses the difference in graphics

Weird, I don't overclock my nitdroid at all, but have lots of random reboots. I'm only using a class 2 SD card but have class 10 at home, I just haven't had time to copy everything over to it yet. I hope it makes a positive difference.

Amazon's new Android App Store works on nitdroid, and they are currently giving away Angry Birds Rio full version for free, that's where I installed it from.

Yep, it's an Amazon.com exclusive game for now, to promote their new app store. If you update the amazon.com app that comes in nitdroid 0.10 it'll have a link to install the amazon app store. You need an Amazon account and probably only works in certain countries. But once you install it, you can "buy" Angry Birds Rio for $0.00.

Absolutely not the same.. Community made Level packs do not have:

1) New Birds
2) New targets
3) New interactions
4) New obstacles
5) New Themes
6) New backgrounds and objects

Angry Birds Rio is coming to Symbian still in April 3rd.. Thank god.. at least not all Nokia's are getting neglected..

@ sada11 and @riceboy: How did you get yours running? I tried to install the apk (in Germany here) on my Gingerbread Nitdroid and to do even that, I had to take out the sd card in the options menu. When I try to start the game it either crashes right away before doing anything or it crashes in the first level after the popup showing you how to shoot the birds.

Mine crashed on exactly the same place, when I click the "how-to" popup it dies.

i have tried the market fix and it worked since at the beginning of the use of nitdroid, the android market didnt have angry birds rio and many other apps....

i installed nitdroid in sdcard not emmc, but have the kernel-power working with the multiboot and also have managed to overclocked both nitdroid and maemo...

also the airplane mode fix workes and now can use the mobile provider's internet but im using the wi-fi for downloading apps and games from the android store (many games and apps work but not angry birds seasons nor rio)...

is a way to get angry birds rio working???:(

i used the auto-installer procedure for the nitdroid shown in:
http://www.nitdroid.com/index.php?ti...-Autoinstaller

also the kernel for v2.6.28power46 shown at:

You not fix the market, because market have all angry birds and all apps. I told you tray to fix it. no matter in which way you installed NITDroid, market fix is the same, try the wiki or searching on youtube vido, how to fix market. You have to try several times

I did the fix Market procedure over more than 8 times already, when do you know the Market is fixed??
I can still download Angry Birds Rio and Seasons but the installation is unsuccessful... :(

Another thing, when doing Manage Applications > Running I noticed that right below the Market and Google FrameWork is said "Unable to compute the size" instead of giving the actual size... Is this normal?

Try this: open setings / applications and mark unknown sources, if you did not? download angry birds seassons 1.3.0 apk.and RIO.apk. save on the device, and open astro file manager if you have already installed it? with astro, navigate to the apk file, and just click on it. You will open up a window where you click open the app manager, after this click install, and the second file, it was all procedures

sada11 thanks for taking your time on helping me solve the problem.

I did what you mentioned last on the comment and sadly it didn't work.
I did like you said, Settings > Applications > Unknown Applications and activated it. Went and downloaded both angry birds files and stored it on the device. Using Astro file manager I located the files and tried to install them but the following message appears "Application not installed"....
Am i doing something wrong?:(
