It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

According to Eldar's teweet, it seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia. Elop was really a trojan. Congrats Finns!

# Deal could be completed in 2013, or in late 2012. In any case, US investors dont see any brigh future for Nokia. They play on MS side about 12 hours ago via web

# So, first step - down the price for Nokia as a company. Second - split Nokia like Moto (mobile devices +Navteq; infrastructure); Third - buy Il y a environ 12 heures via web

# Just talked with the same source which describe in December collaboration between Nokia and MS. According to him, MS going to buy N mobile

According to my sources... they say that Eldar sometimes pulls stuff out of thin air.

I can't recall Eldatr forecasting the Nokia/WP7 tie up in December, or even in early February?

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

it seems that Eldar was right. In december he said that Nokia was in discuss with Microsoft and Google for new O.S. It seems he was right.

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

Well I think Eldar has right this time,.. Nokia is dead as company:

But its a ****ing chame how Microsoft has/will do it:

1.Make symbian and Meego look alot bad than it is
2. Scare away every app developer to not use Qt even if this platform is fully functional.

sum of this is alot less people will buy symbian phones cause who will buy burning platform.

this is bad so ****ing frustrating. I am the one who still beleives in Qt but my guess is devs will leave or get scared away and/or playing Microsofts game.

Correct or just a good guess? it seems he know little of the WP7 announcement. i think we could all guess M$ may takeover Nokia in a couple of years thanks to Trojan Elop.

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

With Elop in by December, I could have said that Nokia was in talks with Microsoft and it not have been a stretch.

Elop, former MS employee talk to his last employer who happens to have a mobile OS that just launched?

It seems he was right. Yes, it seems he was right.

I think I'm done buying Nokia now anyway. I have been a fan for over a decade but once you start selling gimped MS products...you've lost me. I think Symbian is worlds ahead of WP7, and that's saying something.

Goodbye Nokia. It was fun while it lasted but now I guess I gotta find a new phone manufacturer.

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

eldar also said few days before the 11th that Nokia was not moving to another OS and Nokia and Microsoft would announce deal for services partnership only.
how can he even predict that Microsoft will take over Nokia in 2013 b/c that what he's saying lol
The guy is so stupid last week he was telling everyone on twitter that Maemo 6 is back and its GTK+ based lol, when everyone as known since 08/09 that its Qt based
he just likes pulling things out the air sometimes to make it look like he is important and is in the know about everything.
Only reason he can predict two years ahead and get credit for saying things is b/c everyone will of forgot by the time the dates come round, just like what happens on Wall street and London.

Really! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

btw when eldar said Nokia was talking to Microsoft there was already articles on the net about them talking to Microsoft and google, its not hard to say something is happening when there's already rumours out there about it.

I would recommending Samsung Galaxy S2 :)
Too bad Nokia chosen to give its soul to the devil :) But hey I'm not buying Nokia anymore. Whether it's an N9 or N10. The N900 is my last Nokia and I'm keeping it until it died and will turn it into thing for decorating my wall when it died :)

Back on topic,
I think it is still very possible that his prediction may turn out right. As we all seeing right now that Nokia is slowly moving toward MS and Nokia is getting weak by days. So not before long until MS start buying Nokia outright when Nokia becoming weaker from the Trojans.Elop as the head of the CEO.

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

So, what we gonna call it then?

Microsokia; Nokisoft or Trojanphone?

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

All these threads are so disheartening. I liked Nokia phones and have been using them since my first phone in 1997. I hope my N900 last another 3 years at least (hardware and software). I don't quite like HTC and Samsung, so looks like I've got no other choice except (iPhone? or some Android) if the N900 fails sooner than later.

Microsoft. They don't tend to rebrand for anybody.

I'm just waiting on Finland to revolt.

Nah, I was being sarcastic.

But had I been truthful in my post, I would have definitely been pwned by whatever words were in your post, I'm sure.

I think the group of mischievous kids that's been feeding all these 'leaks' to Eldar have been trying to make the claims ever more outlandish for the lulz... and every single time the world surprises them because what Eldar says becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

i think he got it wrong. In 2013, Nokia will buy over Microsoft. LOL!!!!!!!!!

common guys, this stuff isn't even worth ranting over.

I think Elop hired Eldar to try to prop up his newly aquired Nokia stock. ;)

I do not think Elop is a former MS emplyee - I think he just got his biggest MS bonus so far....

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

Do yourselves a favor, stop this nonsense and go and get yourselves a Samsung with Bada and have some fun.

No one is going to buy Nokia, why? because the ones with the controlling majority of shares are extremely pro Finland (and Nokia). The Nokia shares on the stock marked "setting" the price, are less than 1% of Nokia shares.

gruik 2011-02-21 09:35

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

nothing is impossible in this world. i think, regarding the latest news about nokia, that we shouldn't eliminate this hypothesis.
All circumstances are here:

-nokia is frail
-elop comes from microsoft
-nokia is working with redmond
-microsoft give exclusive prerogatives to nokia on Wp7)
-others competitors are not really interested by wp7 (no hardware or announce since earlier 2011, no news a MWC/CES)
-nokia's stocks falls

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

i have been using all kinds of phones (brands) in my time and i don't want to use anything that is sub par in quality compared to nokia devices, and im not nor ever going back to the biggest failure of them all (MS), looking at the PC world it has been one buggy OS after another.

But it seams now that another brand will have to do, and that device MUST run linux.
Until then im not parting with my N900 until it totally fails, and im looking at second hand N900 here in DK.

I am tempted to paint/remove the nokia logo over since i heard about the MS deal/joining

Re: It seems that Microsoft will buy Nokia

Don't blame Microsoft, that's market competition. Nokia's been digging their own grave since about 2008.

Okay, now Windows may be insecure from malware, due to it's wide use, and Vista may not have been all that great (wasn't as bad as they claimed, ha, don't put a modern OS on an old PC.), but you can't call Windows any more buggy than any other OS. The most modern over-buggy OS is Leopard. Snow Leopard fixed that though.
