how to make outgoing calls from land-line while on mobile
I want to make outgoing calls from my home land line while on move. I have Nokia E71, I want a system(device) so that I dial a number from my mobile device which connects me to my home land line for further dialing. So the receiver of call will see my home number on his CLI.

Unless your landline is connected to a computer, is what you're asking even possible ? |

Re: how to make outgoing calls from land-line while on mobile
Look at PBX In A Flash and buy something link a Linksys SPA-3102.
This will allow you to connect across the internet to your 'home' and then dial out using your landline. |
Re: how to make outgoing calls from land-line while on mobile
there is a different thread on a very similar subject which is using a mobile (N900 specifically) as a voip phone working over Wlan and acting as a cordess phone for the home(landline)phone- search for Fritzbox and you will find it.

Re: how to make outgoing calls from land-line while on mobile
There is a device called a Viking Rad-Amp that might be what you are looking for.
It requires 2 phone lines at home, land lines or VOIP lines. They are connected by to the Rad-Amp by standard phone plugs. A call from your cell phone to line 1 is answered by the device and then connected to line 2 which then gives you your dial tone. I have one of these devices but have not used it recently so I am unclear about details. There is a pdf copy of the manual available on the Internet. You would be interested in CALL EXTENDER mode. As mentioned above, a Linksys SPA-3102 may also be able to do what you wish. |
Re: how to make outgoing calls from land-line while on mobile
Personally I would sign up to a service like SIPGate and get a local STD code and add this as a SIP line direct to your handset.
You can configure it so any inbound calls get forwarded to your existing 'home' landline, you would just end up with 2x outbound numbers. |

I think you can refer this thread for some suggestions.
An "adapter" to make and receive calls with a landline? http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=68931 |
Re: how to make outgoing calls from land-line while on mobile
for the incoming line, from your mobile to your house, I would suggest you use a gsm adaptor with a sim on the same mobile company.
then the n900 to house leg of the call is liable to be free or at least cheap. then route it out the landline. any free pbx software will do this. |
