I've only been using this for the last 2 weeks. I hadn't used it before because I didn't want to upgrade my firmware to 1.3, but when I installed preenv from the terminal I accidentally updated my firmware as well lol.

So....CuteTube was then the first thing I installed after.

Wow. What was I missing?

This is a killer app as far as I'm concerned. I prefer to use CuteTube than going onto the YouTube site (on my desktop PC). It's so much simpler and to the point than the cluttered YouTube website. Subscriptions are easy to manage. Checking the latest subscriptions videos is a breeze with them nicely listed in date order. Downloading the videos as .mp4 straight onto the phone is an excellent feature, and the "multi select add to download queue" feature is awesome. Another thing I like about the download feature is that it names the files exactly as it comes from the site so you don't have to mess about renaming files after, and removing underscores and other such crap (if you're a filename pedant like I am). Oh, and it remembers your login everytime you open it.

Anyway, just had to express my thoughts on this application and also to say thanks very much the coder.

I fully agree! It's truly a wonderful and professionally done app. I've been using it almost daily since I installed it last 2 weeks to source for some music videos, Dilbert cartoon and others.

After reading your comments, I thought I would go and install it to see what I was missing out on, but unfortunately I couldn't. I got an error about "Conflicting application packages.".

I guess I'll post the full error description in the Cutetube thread....

Read the ****ing title and ignore it then.

Hardly useless is it, when this thread has just brought the app to one more person who has just installed it. He might not have wanted to wade through 56 pages starting from way back in 2009, just like I didn't. And thats one more potential donation to the coder.

And say "thanks" for this great app while your here and show the coder some appreciation, instead of clogging this thread up with your useless and negative commentary. Are you a moderator? No. Wannabe moderator? Yes, it seems.

Its a great app indeed. Let me download the "proper" version of Ce-lo Greens Fudge You song and now when I need a pick me up I just fire that file up.

can I now search for old videos using cute tube. This was the main reason why i deleted it before because whenever I am searching for a video it only give me results of recent videos

i am able to download the video using cutetube now.
but why i can't playback on mediaplayer?
it show media file type not support.

Thats strange because the N900 should be able to play MP4's as standard. Try the "extra decoders" from the repositories and see if that works.

Which Cutetube is preferable to use on N900, QML or normal one?

Aaaaaand,
Can anyone of you guys tell me how to UPload video with Cutetube? Maybe I'm blind, I just can't find it... I currently have only normal Cutetube installed, maybe only the QML one supports upload?

Only the QML version supports uploads. To upload a video, you must first sign in to your YouTube account, then go to the My Account screen. Click on the upload toolbutton to open the upload dialog.

i agree that cute tube is a great app. however every now and then when i try to download a vid it says failed. if i leave it a day or so and try again it works.
does anyone have any ideas why it does this or am i the only person.
