Nokia meego device : phone or tablet

Hi. What do you think will be the next Nokia meego device, a phone or a tablet?
I start to think that it might be a tablet , since every other competitor has one, plus they said they will go with windows phone on the phone side, however windows 8 tablets are not gone come until middle 2012.
Another thing is that a lot of linux descktop software can be much easy ported to a tablet(large screen) than on a phone.

What do you think? please vote

what about the n950, mentioned by nokia cto green as a successor of the n900? so if he says the truth and nokia is not rolling everything back again it should be a phone. ;)

Given the above options, it will probably be a Phablet with Tone capabilities.

depends on what you mean by tablet. Many people consider N900 both a tablet and a phone.

Or do you mean "ipad form-factor"?

It'll be a Phone+Laptop+Tablet combo like the Atrix... it'll be a PHLABLET ;)
Maybe it'll support cellphone towers AND satellite as a phone. It'll be a CELLULITE PHLAB!

I also spotted this one, where explicitely had been said that "a meego phone will be released" and the writer claims to be a Nokia employee at the moment of writing.

Maybe a hard-drive based cellphone (one of those IBM postage sized CompactFlash hard drive deals) with gigs and gigs of space.. and a guaranteed "Latest Ovi Mapping" system that's always up-to-date.. with a cute markety smart AI for the user interface... could call it something witty like a Braniac

They might call it the Nokia GigaLOManiac

I think he's referring to the phabled thablets from mt sinai.

The original design is 2 tablets of equal size, with 5 parts (inches?) on each...

NIT - Nokia Internet Tablet

Nokia declared the N810 WiMAX Edition to be the last "Internet Tablet" at Open Source in Mobile 2008, the same event at which they announced the first details of the "Fremantle lead device", a.k.a. the N900. So officially, the N900 is not an Internet Tablet.

Meanwhile, according to many users here, the N900 is not a phone.

That does leave standing that Nokia-approved, nebulous moniker, "mobile computer", but there are plenty who question how that one is to be defined.

Personally, on the basis of several exhaustive experiments, I'm prepared to attest to the fact that the N900 is not a duck. That starting point now firmly established, I'll be methodically expanding my knowledge of what the N900 isn't until the essence of the N900 is left, defined by this rigorous process of elimination.

Perhaps you should eliminate whether or not it floats?
