Just downloaded and installed, initial impression is wow! Vey professional looking, still needs some work but this is a beta. Will be very nice once (if?) Check-in is added as a feature. Biggest missing function at present is the minimise button in the top left corner, control-backspace will have to do for now...

Yeah, the app is awesome! The minimize function should be added asap, it's really needed. All in all, neat and good looking app.

Orr install ShortcutD and use Camera Key Short Press as the Dashboard button which does the same as Ctrl + Backscape but is much easier to press :)

Props on the app. This works quite well and is something that I think was a long time in coming for the N900.

Hi i just downloaded and installed kasvopas, but it doesnt work. im running the new n900 CSSU.it keeps on saying ' error loading page'.What could be the problem?

I am also running the CSSU and its running for me no problem at all.

Very cool application and works great, nice to see that Nokia's vision of QT for Maemo/Meego and Symbian now being realized.

I cant even signin to the facebook, keep telling me password is incorrect. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to try it again.

Might be some permission that currently I set on the facebook *maybe*


Found the problem (at least it works with me).
0. reboot n900
1. change the settings in facebook for privacy to "recommended".
2. Login to the facebook website using microb and allow microb to remember the password
3. run kasvopus and finally when signon, it works now.

Its says on the site that you need qt 4.7.2+ to run it..... does n900 have that or do i have to install it?

Its sort of working now, thanks for this app i can see it being the fb app out there!

I just got black screen and if i change portrait<>landscape it sometimes blinks with some small part of screen actually visible for a second and than again it's black.

Been using ShortcutD for a while, unfortunately short and long press is already mapped to Toggle Rotation and Phone.... :(

Well kasvo means face in finnish, but the pus part doesn't mean anything in finnish. Maybe it's just a weird ending for the kasvo part.

Edit: The developer of kasvopus said this: "Kasvopus name is a word play from Finnish words Face and Book :)"

Is this pretty much the whole app though? will he be adding options to veiw our own profile and pictures and stuff? seems like their is not enough options for it to be relesed this early?

But on that note its looking to be an awsome product if those things above will be added later on.

I'm very negative now, but why do we need these "iOS apps" that are simplified versions of the real thing. The real thing is available on the N900.

The app itself is nice though, but apps like these are much of the reasons why I got the N900 instead of iPhone or Android. On the N900 we don't need this.

Becuase loading up facebook on the n900 full version is annoying somtimes, Yeah its great having the full version but somtimes we need mobile versions on things and facebook is one of them

well done, a great looking face book app. simple yet has all your needs and also works with rotation.

would love a widget but that could be for another time. keep up the good work.

really great app, loving it... only 3 things: it forces me to re-login on start, I can't seem to "like" anything (api error) and I'd like to see my messages :)
but it's a really good start and I can't wait to test the next versions

Why doesn't he release it to repos and even at Ovi not for maemo(not even for n900 but symbian)? maybe someone would be kind to maintaine his programs properly with dependies in our repos as well?

This is more of an Alpha than Beta IMO...(error loading page)

I had to block it using my pc on facebook, and reauthorize again on kasvopus, now it works. Extremely limited, the same as text version of facebook http://m.facebook.com/ that has skin on top.

Quite smooth but still I prefer touch.facebook.com

Refresh doesn´t work for me. Started app, friend made status update, touch.facebook.com page shows it after refresh but kasvopus doesn´t. Can anyone confirm?
