Kasvopus, black screen, exit
 
Hi,

I have installed kasvopus on my n900,
but when i start the app I only see a black screen for a few secs.
than nothing, it quits itself....
whats wrong?

i use ssu and webos game: need for speed

Black screen is a problem relating to authentication (even if you already had authenticated before). I stumbled on this issue, even after authenticating Kasvopus (and microB stores my password for facebook).

When you see the black screen, open the keyboard, then close it, it should show the authentication page on facebook.

Let me know how you guys go.

tried your suggestion but im still getting the black screen. clearing cookies, cache and authenticated sessions didnt help either

Okay, go to facebook.com->Account (top right)->Privacy Settings->Apps and websites

Check that Kasvopus is there (you may need to click Edit Settings next to Apps you use) and has the correct permissions. You could also try removing it which "should" prompt Kasvopus to re-authenticate.

how can i add it to the apps i use?

I had also read on Tommi's blog that upon seeing the black screen, quickly rotating the device to portait and back to landscape may work.

Okay, sounds like you've not managed to authenticate from the get go. Try rotating the device quickly when you see the black screen.

Rotating the device didn't help either.. I'm thinking about re-flashing the phone soon and trying then with better luck. :rolleyes:

Great news for me!
I dont know how, but it works today...:D
Yesterday, I deleted Kasvopus, and QT 4,7,5 and hotfixes( I Rebooted after every deinstal, one by one)
after 12 hours kasvopus sudendly wake up.
first a had a problem with login in. but after restarting the app for a few times everything works fine now.

Keep on Trying!

HERE IS THE SOLUTION

For those on N900 still not coming past the FB-authorization screen. This worked for me and it is a great app!
Delete Kasvopus__0.9.3 with the app.man.

Open http://www.substanceofcode.com/downl....9.2_armel.deb in MicroB.
On prompt click 'open with app.manager'.


When installed, open the app and just authorize Kasvopus to use FB. and make sure "Keep me logged in'' is ticked.
Have a look around at the previous version, because it's already really nice.
And then just download and install version 0.9.3. right over it, in the same way as mentioned above.


It's the best app on N900, by far! Really appreciate it. Thanks so much.
