Itunes for N800
Greetings:
Would anyone happened to know if there will be or if there is an Itunes program for the N800? Regards Robert |
Re: Itunes for N800

Re: Itunes for N800
Greetings:
When I state a Itunes program, I mean that I can open Itunes on the N800 and listen to my favorite music. As we know there is Itunes for Windows and Mac. But is there Itunes for Linux? Regards Robert |
Re: Itunes for N800
There is no version of Itunes for linux. There are plugins which will allow you to play Itunes files, though only files ripped from cd.

Re: Itunes for N800
Yes, there are only programs for playing mp3 files, not aac files, in case you have bought your music from itunes store.

Re: Itunes for N800
It would be sweet if someone could get Bonjour/Rendezsvou running on maemo so we could stream what's on our computers to our ITs

Re: Itunes for N800
You can use avahi for bonjour stuff. There's a repo and deb files here that's woked for me on my n800.

Re: Itunes for N800
yeah, but is it a complete solution where i can have a GUI and just pick a sharing computer and start streaming the music?
|
Re: Itunes for N800
Nope. It's an open implementation of the bonjour protocol, which seemed to be what you'd asked for.

Re: Itunes for N800
Have you tried the Canola app? It's pretty slick.

Linux audio players for iTunes audio formats can be found below. Note, mono is is required.
http://nanocr.eu/software/snd123/ Linux version of iTunes can be found below. It's probably no longer compatible with the current Apple version. http://nanocr.eu/2005/09/17/sharpmusique-10/ Bill |
