OVI Finally Works!
 
I gave up using OVI suite for many months. Fed up with NOKIA. And was seriously considering to change to a Android phone.

I decided to give OVI Suite a last trial to see if it could sync the SMS from my N900. I was having OVI Suite version 2.2XX; and noticed there was an update version #3.0.0.290 so downloaded it.

Nicely surprised to see the latest version seemed supporting N900. Successfully sync the SMS and then tried to download a OVI map to N900. It finally works. :)

Still not fully satisfied why NOKIA has to take so long to make OVI Suite to her supposedly flag-ship product "N900". Late is still better than never.

I think I would give up the plan to change phone for now.

I still use PC Suite lol.. I think it's a lot better than OVi Suite.

We have a Linux phone but cannot get OVI suite to run on Linux. How hard can it be, really?

yes, latest version of PC Suite allows you to read/create/respond SMS from PC

PC Suite? I'm pretty sure I have the latest version and it doesn't support SMS.

What about the latest OVI Suite?
Version 7.1.62.1 of PC Suite supports SMS sync, not sure about Ovi suite as I don't use it
