the lockscreen is not opensource and it's hard to change it, so it would be almost impossible as long as Nokia wouldn't provide source

I know it isn't quite the same thing, but until someone fixes this, can't you use the number keyboard in a sequence that makes up a pattern? For instance using 17931 as a lock code would make the lock code a square.

No, it's not impossible.
The lockscreen is part of a systemui plugin.
Removing this plugin makes the lock switch not function anymore, and the screen no longer gets disabled when it's dimmed/blanked (touching it turns it on).

To replace the lock screen, one would have to replace this (vital) part of the system first, then other GUIs can hook onto it, the rewritten plugin should send the same DBus messages that the current plugin does so it doesn't break apps.

voice recognition, pattern, code or fingerprint reader ( with trick) would be the coolest.
