N12 "UMay"
- Android GingerBread 2.3.4 (GRJ22) - New Gapps (20110503) - much more stable than previous release (N11 "Vostok") New features: - RIL: SMS sending - RIL: Pro-active USSD sessions - RIL: 3G Fast Dormancy (thanx to Crevetor) - RIL: IMEISV request support - Support for swap (optional; one can easily activate it in /default.prop) Fixed: - Permission manifests - Market working "out-of-the-box" - WiFi/DHCP problem http://goo.gl/dXp7a Update: I recommend to install 2.6.28.NIT07-rc3 kernel for use in N12. Especially if you use USB Mass Storage mode (UMS). |

and asking about calls is getting as annoying as asking about temperature readings in power kernel thread :O If it's not written in this or previous announcements, it's not available. I think when it will be available, it will be written in announcement in bold letters and biggest font size :P |

Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4
I think the uninstallation method in http://wiki.maemo.org/Nitdroid_easy_...lling_Nitdroid
..needs to be updated, it doesn't work for me, first some folders cannot be deleted using filebox as described there so i had use rm -rf, And then i tried this N12, following the installation method and the kernel i used to successfully install N11. But i get sh : /dev/mmcblk0p2 unknown operand and after checking the /etc/multiboot.d i can't find the item for nitdroid.. So i install multiboot apt-get install multiboot.. And now guess what? the Maemo option doesn't appear on multiboot, only android :( I guess i have to reflash now :( The installation method only works if i do a clean reflash on Maemo first... So there must be something missing on the uninstallation procedure.. There's something else that has to be removed before installing nitdroid again Can anyone help me with this? Anyone managed to install N12 after N11? |
Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4
press B to try and boot maemo. or E when in multiboot

Re: [Release] N12 "UMay" - Android GingerBread 2.3.4
I just wonder... Is it more efficient with the battery than in 0.0.8? It drains the battery so fast that it's almost impossible to use it without charging at the same time. It also gets really hot...
Or will we have to live with it? |

No, it means something completely different. [/TROLL MODE] Of course it means we can send sms, that's what "SMS sending" means :P (Haven't tried it, don't have time to install and check untill next week, I just relay on what e-yes wrote) |
