If you bricked it while trying/using nitdroid , just recharge battery , even if the orange led doesn't flash . It happened to me too .

Re: n900 brick
i've formated mmcblk0p1 to ext3 due to "read-only filesystem" problem and added "mount /dev/mmcblkop1 /home/user/MyDocs" to /etc/event.d/rcS-late. I think i have misunderstood how to edit this file

Re: n900 brick

Re: n900 brick
i forgot how i did it. but the only help i can give you is the one i wrote above. it will bring it back to its factory settings and wipe out everything. all apps, files and tweaks...

Re: n900 brick
maybe there is some way to format /home/user/MyDocs to ext3 or ext2 and mount it on boot? I've tried to do it with this "http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=424811&postcount=66" but i have no MMC to copy /home/user/MyDocs and then copy it back. so i've done this instruction without backup of MyDocs, rebooted. there was nothing good but i've managed to connect it to my PC and reflashed it with OVI suite. then i've edited /etc/event.d/rcS-late and messed up my poor Maemo 5 =(
