(Request) is there any application to lock signal for the N900 3.5G/HSDPA

is there any application to lock signal for the N900 3.5G/HSDPA??

Because 3G and 3.5G signal change is not always silent switch on my N900 3G or 3.5G. Hopefully it is for my application. Thx :)

3.5G comes from cell tower not because of n900

so if the tower supports 3.5G then it appears 3.5G on N900

I know that, I mean, lock-like application "dual, 2G.3G" so I can signal each key such as 2G and 3G, now is there any application that can I choose just 3.5G signal so that the signal does not change.

:(:(:(

There is an app for the GSM/3G switch like you mentioned but @tonypower88 is right- there is no app for 3.5G. That is determined by towers and if you're having a problem with that, it's coming from how the tower is transitioning from 3.5 to 3G.

The only way to do this is to create a continue network traffic, that is not battery-friendly but it should works.

So basically when I download a file with a 3G signal and suddenly cut off due to signal switching to 3.5G, always.

If you just keep the connection active (possible by pinging a server), it'll remain in 3.5g mode. This will likely drain your battery though.

I didn't know that if connection becomes 3.5G it disconnects

My operator transitions seamlessly between gprs->edge->wcdma->hspa and back. Obviously the edge-gprs transition requires me to move out of edge coverage area :)
