N900 problems
Hi,
I just got my N900 a week ago and it was working properly. After I clear the device and returned to factory settings couple of problems started to show: I can't open some programs, they always crush. (eSpeak caller, Gonvert) It won't connect the home wifi. it always says 'authentication failed', I'm sure I have the correct key because It works in windows and ipod touch. I tried with static IP, didn't work either. Thanks. |
Re: N900 problems
Do you remember anything unusual happening before this started (such as the battery dying or something)?

Re: N900 problems
I solved the wifi problem. I don't know why but obviously it was having connection problem because of the "WPA". I changed the router's security WPA to WPA2 (and click the WPA2 from advanced settings) and it's working right now. no problems so far.

Did you buy the phone second hand? When you say clear the device, how did you do that, was it just by going into Settings and clicking on Restore original settings? I'm asking because if both answers are true, it will probably be best to reflash the device to get it into a completely factory-fresh condition. |

Read through this page a few times. You should flash the emmc first and then the rootfs. |
