ANDROID NITDROID on the nokia N900- problems and rages
 

ok lets talk a bit about the android gingerbread 2.3.4 on the nokia N900. I got it installed but the thing is that the ****ing airplane mode is always on! the guy who uploaded the latest nitdroid update fixed lots of problems. we can now send sms and other stuff buuuuuutttt the voice calls are still under a WIP state (work in progress >.>) so tell me people what are you raging about???

someone having the same problem with the freakinn' airplane mode?? i tried everything pulling out the battery resetting turning off the n900 buuuuuuuuttttttt nothing its still there!!!! i turn it off it turns backj on automatically!

I will never ever install nitdroid for 3 reasons:
1. Maemo > Android. No discussion. When you'll run X11/wayland under android maybe we'll talk.
2. *****y community. If you say some thing doesn't work or ask about it all you get is "ZOMG YOU ***** YOU DON'T RESPECT DEV'S WORK!!!!"
3. Absolutely no documentation nor news. Only channel is drunkdebugger's twitter feed...

Btw, the problem with calls is getting a wrapper to ofono from android, and because android has no real portable middleware it's difficult. Nitdroid has to run a pulseaudio server and that's not easy either...

well... your 100% right but i installed nitroid because i hate the ****ing maemo!!!! LAGLALGLALGLALGLALGLALGLALGLALGLALGLALGLALGLALAG it effen LAGS A LOT... for example i lock my n900 using maemo unlock it then the ****ing cpu stays at 100% for 10 sec maybe moaar sometimes all your widgets on your screen disappear and the best thing is that there is this stupid bug... when you turn on your music from the media player widget then turn it off and then someone calls you and hangs up or whatever... guess what the stupid music player turns on by itself!!! stupid n900 FU!!

I think you installed too much daemonized crap... Try uninstalling some applications. All here runs fine..

Also cssu and 700MHz + cgroup setting

I don't know why you guys complain about The Grand NITDroid thread, you don't need to read all 275 pages, there is a huge big link on my first post to the WIKI and joeljad all answers to your extremely common issues are in the FAQ.
There is also a dedicated search the thread function located just on the top of the page, I am sure it wasn't built there for fun.
There is a POWER SEARCH function on the right, POWER search!

Well, yes--just about every OS is. :)

*cough* That POWER SEARCH...? Not so powerful. Ahem. I recommend just going to Google and start your searches with "site:talk.maemo.org"... FAR better and more relevant search results.

I installed gingerbread Nitdroid 0.0.9 on emmc....all is good, but I downloaded some apps and lot of them crashing...somewhere here I find a list of progs that are supposed to be working ...but here a guy said that every downloaded program should be working.
what's the true?

And about that sudo mambo thing in x terminal....for a windows user like me I do not find a good tutorial vhith examples...only links for linux pages, where u find commands that are not compatible

well look closely. everything has its own daemon, headphone daemon, proximityd, all running py widgets require python in memory...

well i dont really dl apps and stuff i only dled angry birds facebook and msn... you know social network stuff >.> and they all seem to work exept the reset by itself thing i think there is a fix for that ill ask ammyt :P!!!! anw the sudo gainroot is a command but you have to unlock it, its like jailbraking an iphone but with the n900 already jailbraiked.... uuuuhhhh ok its just like your gaining complete access of the n900 from the inside if you know what i mean :P anw the way you unlock this command is by going to the application manager and then downloads... and then dl "rootsh"...
after that dl the leafpad >.>
and then youll have to dl a program which you can find here: http://winscp.net/eng/download.php
