[Announce] Maze of Galious

A port of an enhanced remake of Maze of Galious (http://www.braingames.getput.com/mog/) featuring changeable graphics and soundtrack. Tested on N900, played through the whole thing, killed Galious, saved Pamperse.

Now -- someone make an SDL version of La-Mulana, chop chop! ;)

Keyboard layout:
----------------
Q - Jump / Climb up
A - Climb down
O - Go left
P - Go right
CTRL - Use sword / Activate harp
W - Use secondary weapon
E - Item screen
U - Pause
SPACE - Use bible

BACKSPACE - Options menu
M - Change the graphic tileset
N - Change the soundtrack
CTRL+X - Quit the game
L - Pressed in the title screen allows to enter passwords
Z,X,C,V,B - Save to respective slots (when receiving a password from DEMETER) / Load from respective slots (when entering a password)

Note:
-----
Names of evil demons, dagger password, etc. must be entered while holding SHIFT.
Feather is activated in item screen by pressing SHIFT+(Q/W/E/R/T/Y/U/I/O).

Hi trompkins, I've seen that you are contributing a lot of stuff to Maemo games, thanks for that!, but you are not uploading your packages to the repositories. Is that for any particular reason?

Think that most of the people might be missing these games if they are not closely following the forums.

I played this game on my MSX homecomputer in the old days. It's predecessor, Knightmare, was more of an arcade shooter. This game I really played a lot. I knew a port had been made of Maze of Galious, nice to see it now runs on the N900.

There was also a successor: Knightmare III: Shalom. This game was only released in Japan on the MSX (and therefore mostly Japanse texts).

So if you want to see the original games: start your favourite MSX emulator (on your N900 or PC) and try them out.

Closes for me also - gives the following error in terminal:

error while loading shared libraries: libSDL_sound-1.0.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I never installed this one, but you could always go for the original (full screen) Maze of Galious using the openMSX emulator on your N900 :)

Thanks/ But i like enchanted graphics of the port)
And battery life will be better i think. All i need is stretched to fullscreen image. Is it possible through game cfg or something?

Image not stretched in openmsx. Port is working faster.

Hmmm... I don't think it was implemented in the original version. There was a hardcoded zoom function but I didn't even remap the keys :p
I'll have a look-see if anything can be done -- with a minimum acceptable amount of hassle, that is.

Meanwhile try replacing the game executable with this file (copy it to /opt/mog/ and chmod +x it, you know the drill). Now the up/down cursor keys should control the zoom level which should alleviate your problem.... somewhat.

Thanks. But game screen is the same size as before. And i use down arrow for down)
