CSSU Problems

Hi, I updated CSSU yesterday to the newest version and I have a few problems.

1) I can no longer get 3.5G, the max I get is 2.5G
2) When installing apps, I get Dpkg errors, although it installs, the apps aren't executable.

I hope someone can shed some light on this, thanks.

Re: CSSU Problems

At first try, the update seemed to progress fine. when the time to shutdown came, screen went blank except for blue "x" (close application) on the upper righr corner. after some minutes n900 shut down. I waited for it to start up again for 10 - 15 minutes, but when it did not, i powerwd it up and checkked for updates. CSSU update was still there so I tried again. This time it went as it should. I have not tested every feature of the n900, but so far seems to work at least as well as before.

Re: CSSU Problems

Right after the last CSSU update i keep losing 2g signal, no 3g either, sometimes works for few seconds, then it suddenly doesnt. Anyone encountered such a thing ?

EDIT: Apparently its a provider thingy as with another sim card i dont have any problems. cssu update badly matched in time with provider problems.

I get the FATAL ERROR too.

App manager could not install it so I did the following :

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
reboot

Re: CSSU Problems

you have already modified transitions.ini file by another application.

you need to restore original (default) transition.ini file in

/usr/share/hildon-desktop/

or just rename transitions.ini.default to transitions.ini

No, I can confirm that I'm using pk48 and latest CSSU without problems.

May I suggest that before you issue the "reboot" command, you issue a "sync" command. That would flush the disk cache contents before the reboot. People have been known to lose data due to this.

Re: CSSU Problems

I had the random reboots issue with the CSSU and pk48. I just enabled CSSU yesterday and after that I updated the pk from 47 to 48 and got the random reboots. I noticed the kernel-config settings reset themselves every time I lock the device, setting minimum CPU to 500, max to 750, governor to conservative and enabling VDD1 and VDD2. No matter which kernel-config profile I loaded it was always reverted.

I solved it by reinstalling nokia kernel and then installing pk48 again. No more reboots.

Hope this helps someone...

Re: CSSU Problems

After reading posts on cssu thread since release of v16/16.5 cssu and like others reporting problems with fastsms closing on pressing options box , i wondered if anyone has any ideas or thoughts as to whether fastsms fixable ? and if its definately a fastsms bug on all devices on v16.5 or if its only on some(not all) devices ?

fastsms is for me an essential app and this problem is concerning that i could lose it if i keep v16.5, i know it was ok on v15 so really hope that it can work again :)

I had the same problem this morning after updating. Random reboots. Then I uninstalled speedpatch and battery patch and now it stopped. I think that the patches are the cause.

I have the same problem. Gave up and uninstalled it. Also ran into a problem that the gps no longer works. I'm not sure how to revert to a cssu version that works. Maybe someone is working on this issue as I am sure we are not the sole users who have identified these glitches. Maemo seems prone to conflicts.

Re: CSSU Problems

Hello everyone.
I have also CSSU installed, and did not see any obvious problems, as, system slowdown or something.

On thing need to mention tough, whenever i install a new application ( HAM , FAM or command line), i don't get the icon displayed in the menu.
I mean i get the standard blue rectangle instead of application icon.
Does somebody know why ?, or if this is a CSSU issue ?

BR,
Sebastian

I have that too for new applications, but after a reboot the proper icons are shown. I think I had that even before I first installed CSSU. It might have something to do with ApMeFo.
