[Questions] To N9 Owners.

Will N9 support further updates? Coz meego 1.3 is already out.
For those who have the device, Is it slow and unresponsive? N900 seemed pretty fast when it got released. But slows down and lags badly after installing apps.
Is N9 overclockable? Is it underclocked like iphone? what's the chips maximum clock specification?
Is there flash in the browser? whats the flash version?
Is multi-tasking laggy?
Are there any notification lights like N900?
How is the battery life?
Is the gps weak?
How open-source is the N9?
Does maps have turn-by-turn navigation?
How loud are the speakers?

Re: [Questions] To N9 Owners.

In order:
- N9 is Maemo 6 really, the Meego branding is about binary compatibility. It will be updated but not in step with Meego/Tizen
- No, it is slick and amazing even with a load of apps. Much more than the N900 which was never really "slick" it was just "not too bad"
- Probably, but we'll have to wait for custom kernels etc.
- No. Tenuous rumor that it may get shipped later for use in Firefox Mobile only, but I don't see the incentive for Nokia to license it at this late stage
- Not at all, it's great
- There's an LED but it isn't used for notifications (yet?), mainly due to the notifications being displayed on the AMOLED locked/off/sleep screen
- Slightly better than N900
- What do you mean? Initial lock without 'net connection?
- OS and middleware open, UI closed (as N900 but a bit worse, and more restrictions on deep-level system access for devs)
- Yes, in 2 separate apps/views
- Dunno, I only have a N950, which is "as before"

Re: [Questions] To N9 Owners.

Probably best to ask this question here:

Does the N9 read/recognize QR codes natively, or is there an app (such as mBarcode) for that...?

When you insert a sim in the phone (or do whatever that triggers the same behaviour), how many or (even better) which languages can you choose?

How great exactly? Compared to, lets say, n900, iphone or galaxy 2.

Re: [Questions] To N9 Owners.

Can we please try to keep questions in this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=78570
or this one
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=74181&page=901

We're going rename one of them to: N9 owners: answer questions & get help
And that's we're all questions can go...

If folks want to get into more depth about a particular question.
Then dedicated threads can be started etc.

Re: [Questions] To N9 Owners.

Hey folks, I've put it to everyone on the main thread...
And they've agreed to move from the main one to this one
N9 owners: answer questions & get help!

So as to avoid confusing duplication, please continue this discussion there from now on.
Maybe we'll change the main one to: The N9/Nokia water-cooler thread or some such :)
Assuming the mods aren't around to close it entirely... :)

Re: [Questions] To N9 Owners.

1. How open ( as in open source) is the calendar app? Will it be possible to change ( or perhaps with the help of an add-on) calendar layout to week grid view?

2. How good is the calendar ? Is the task app as bad as in N900?

Edit: Moved post to the other thread.
