Outcoming Call Vibro on N9

I found one insteresting software in N900, it named "Outcoming Call Vibro". It is really cool feature.
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ing+Call+Vibro

Dial number and intiate call
The phone rings for other person.
When person pickes up call, ie just when the timer for ur call starts.. send vibration signal to user..

Does N9 have such feature? Or could someone re-build for N9? Thanks

Re: Outcoming Call Vibro on N9

its a good feature that even on the n8 was available via the boldbeast call recorder. hope the dev behind the call recorder on the n9 is able to add this feature.

I think I could do that, as it is kinda related to the auto answer app I've started.. I'll try to do it and post here when there's something to test..

Hi, I have a working app, you can download it from here:

http://iktwo.wikidot.com/local--file....0.0_armel.deb

I failed making a daemon, so this one has a GUI, but it works, I'll update it and make a working daemon ASAP, please give feedback about vibration, I can make it last longer if you want..

I'm so sorry there was a problem with the .desktop file, the application does work, but the .destop file was broken, you can download version 1.0 here http://iktwo.wikidot.com/local--file....0.0_armel.deb

Doesn't work for me. I install it, open the app, 'activate' it, leave the app in the background and... nothing changes. No vibra on when my call is answered.

I have a working daemon solution, but that will be on store for 1€ (I need a new N900, yeah N900), I'm looking at how can I remove vibration when call it's received.

Okay, I have downloaded the daemon app from the Nokia Store (partly for personal use and partly to review for my blog). If it works, you deserve your new N900. :)

I got the application paying for it and it is buggy. It does make the phone vibrate on connected call, yet e.g. upper top menu is unusable. During a call in progress, when press, the screen goes to black for a second and then goes back to the call-in-progress screen. Also, the call volume indicator does not appear when I use the buttons to lower/increase call's volume. Obviously, I won't be using 'connected vibro'.

I cannot deny I am disappointed. lktwo, how about giving me my €1 back?

Running PR1.2, Austrian phone code.

I'm pretty sure that bug is not caused by my app, I'm not saying that my apps are perfect, no, my apps have bugs for sure, but go see the threads, I fix the bugs, but anyway, It's 1:13 am here, so send me an email with your paypal account and I'll send you 2€ back, hope you feel better after that, thanks for the feedback and I'm sorry to disapoint you, I'm still learning a lot of stuff I just tought I could make a little money while learning, btw there is a free version

DarkSkies 2012-05-08 09:10

Re: Outcoming Call Vibro on N9

To be perfectly honest, I did try to sound nasty re the money. It was the first application I bought from the shop and hence the disappointment. I understand that there are many factors at play that may influence how things work.

I would rather have the application fixed or the problem solved. I am about to get a brand new N9 64GB. I will let you know how 'connected vibro' behaves on a vanilla phone.

If there is any specific debug procedure, let me know what to do.

Hi lktwo, thanks for this cool app and report that since PR1.3 it is not working properly. The phone vibrates earlier than the call is established. Maybe we can hope for a fix?
Thanks!

Re: Outcoming Call Vibro on N9

I missed this on N9, on first call seemed to work right.
But now it vibrates when I press call button and not when call gets answered (like it should).

tried now "vibrateme" , seems to work right.

It works absolutely flawless in PR 1.2 but I think PR 1.3 just break its function.

Is it true that this doesn't work in PR 1.3 anymore?

Somebody also claimed the same on the developers other similar app, the Easy Answer.

Now it seems I am never gonna update to 1.3 :D

Re: Outcoming Call Vibro on N9

PR 1.3 here, working flawlessly.

EDIT: i spoke too soon...:o

I have the same problem reported by flopjoke and Muzimak: it vibrates when the call starts, not when the person you are calling answers the phone.

bnwg 2012-07-12 15:56

Re: Outcoming Call Vibro on N9

Strange enough for me then.

On my PR 1.3 device, it vibrates when the call is made but it doesn't vibrate when the call is answered. I see that as not working...or not working properly as it should be.

However, vibrateme works on PR 1.3

Hi, I'm sorry I didn't notice this til today, sorry for not adding the license to the application, bad practices, no excuse for that, but here's the source:

http://iktwo.com/wp-content/uploads/...edvibro.tar.gz

Also when you want to report a problem there's the author info in the app description at Nokia store, I didn't get any message and for some reason I wasn't suscribed to the thread..

I like when someone gives me feedback that way I can fix my mistakes, and I really hate when someone complains about one of my apps but doesn't even try to contact me to let me know.. anyway hope you can do something better with the source code, I will look into those problems some of you are having..

Just purchased your App, left a nice review for you. Loving it and it's flawless. As I suggested on the review, it could be nice if the vibro be set for 1min intervals during calls so we keep track of call length. Nice App though. Also can't the vibration go just once than longer, how do I explain this? Like the vibration U get when U switch on the phone, goes like drrr not drrrrrrrrrrrrrr. On your settings you can control the power of the vibration not the length of time it vibrates.

oh, i was complaining about how the ovi store doesnt have a field for "license" when uploading the app, not about any of your practices. it would be so convenient to be able to filter out proprietary ones in the search.

also, do you have a donation box? i cant get ovi store to work for me.

Re: Outcoming Call Vibro on N9

yup, this is a good app. But most of the reviews complain about the same thing: it even vibrates when you receive a call.. which is unnecessary. Also, it vibrates right when you call, not when the person answers the phone. It's more useful to know when the person answered the phone. Maybe a PR 1.3 bug..?

if you can fix only those two bugs soon, this will be a very welcome app on the N9.. Would definitely make it worth paying for.

keep up the good work!

Yeah U right, when I first tested this App I called my Voicemail, since voicemails don't ring the App seemed flawless, then when I started making actual calls I noticed it vibrates immediately when the phone starts ringing not when they pick up.

While we on that, after days of testing, receiving and making calls, I can confirm that the App Vibrates as soon as the other phone starts ringing, not when when he answers. As previously mentioned by others as well, it vibrates when receiving calls as well, now that's not necessary, maybe you don't need to remove this feature completely by at least include a setting to switch it off when when not required. Also shorten the vibration like when swtiching the phone ON, this loooong vibration gets annoying with time in the ear.

By the way vibration intensity can be adjusted to your needs in the settings menu.
