[Announce] Apt repository - non-extras packages

I created my own apt repository: here it is:

Data for HAM:
Code:

Name: marmistrz
URL: http://marmistrz.net63.net/repository
distribution: fremantle
components: stable testing kp

What the components mean:
Code:

stable - stable, tested packages
testing - partially tested or even at all packages
kp - kernel power v49

Pubkey importing:
Code:

wget -O - http://marmistrz.net63.net/repository/m.key | sudo apt-key add -

Some of the packages:
Microemulator S60 Skin
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=81520

kernel-power v49
As there was problem with promoting kernel-power v49 into extras, I uploaded the kernel to my repository

About kernel-power v49: link

These are the same packages as extras-devel.

EDIT: If you've got repositories pinned, make sure you edited the file
Code:

/etc/apt/preferences
If you don't know what the file is, you don't need it!

All credit goes to kernel-power authors. I don't own their work - I only upload it
OLD entries:

IMPORTANT: ACTA PROTEST BLACKOUT
As Wikipedia did because of SOPA and PIPA, so I do with my repository.
It will be unavailable from Monday, 23 Jan 2012 18:00 UTC to Tuesday, 24 Jan 2012 18:00 UTC

Manual access to files will be possible: look at http://marmistrz.net63.net

What is ACTA?
ACTA is abbreviation for Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement.
On the first sight innocent, this will make harm to our privacy and .
Firstly, if some corporation would suspect we're doing illegal activity, they'd be able to invigilate you! Without an injunction.
Moreover, you may be brought to a court for uploading a video from you birthday, if there'd have been some copyrighted music in background!
Last but not least, most of the copyrighted material will disappear: you won't be able to listen to music on YouTube.
It is a serious threat for our privacy and freedom of the Internet!
PROTEST AGAINST ACTA!!

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Kernel-power v49 stable on repository

have you taken over from pali?

marmistrz 2011-12-17 11:39

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Kernel-power v49 stable on repository

I've taken this all from extras-devel

@maramistrz
Who do you think you are to write posts like this? Is this your work? Did you commit to it? did the maintainer leave the project? what are you announcing? another silly thing like symbian for maemo? this is starting to get annoying. You cant announce something that isn't your work!

marmistrz 2011-12-17 11:47

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Kernel-power v49 stable on repository

I announce the upload to the repository!!!
When kp v50 gets out, the people who'll want to remain stable will have to play with holding etc

I'd like to make it easier and made my repository with the same packages as in extras-devel

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Repository with kernel-power v49 stable

Why spam?
Not everybody'd want to play with extras-devel?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Repository with kernel-power v49 stable

lol..
At least I agree it would be nice to have v49 with the host-mode stuff in extras-testing instead of devel...
It just works now so why leave it in devel?

vi_ 2011-12-17 13:14

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Repository with kernel-power v49 stable

Exactly, everyone seems to have forgotten that devel is for develment stuff that is being tested. Users seem to treat it like 'just another repo' and get angry when things are broken. Consequently now development stuff has to be done out of repo with random debs floating about. Lets get EVERYONE off devel so testers can use it for development again.

Devel does not mean 'may not work as advertised' it means 'quite likely to hose your device'!

Chill bro, I think you've mistaken this guy with alfonso.bastos.
if you have been following the KP49, you would know that this gentle guy over here is trying to upload kernel-power v49 to another repository because pali is facing trouble promoting it to extras-testing. Plus, he never said this is his work, read the first post, thoroughly.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Repository with kernel-power v49 stable

If somebody tried adding this repo, there are problems with updating the catalogue list.
I'm trying to fix it right now

marmistrz 2011-12-17 17:43

Re: [ANNOUNCE] [Testers needed] Repository with kernel-power v49 stable

Now it works.
Notice the catalog information must be updated.

This will abuse your privacy and freedom of the Internet

Re: [Announce] [ACTA PROTEST BLACKOUT] Apt repository - non-extras packages

Going to add this repo just for the blackout! Not sure if I'm reading irony of announcing blacked-out repo correctly, but in support of the fight I am blacking out all of my megauploaded binaries/archives too since a few days.
Power to the people!!!

Re: [Announce] [ACTA PROTEST BLACKOUT] Apt repository - non-extras packages

As much as progressive they want to appear, similar lack of public consultations in the case of nuclear power was shown. Corrupt bastards

marmistrz 2012-01-24 12:36

Re: [Announce] [ACTA PROTEST BLACKOUT] Apt repository - non-extras packages

If you dunno what its all about, its all about money, as we say in Poland!
