Ovi Store download... Either fail or waiting!
 

Has anyone had problems downloading from Ovi store in the last day or so?

I'm trying to download speedtest but it either fails or hangs on "waiting"


If i close it down and reopen/reboot phone etc and then open ovi again it still says waiting! If i clear history under the web option it goes back to failed it sometimes also says installed but when you click on it nothing happens. If I try downloading other apps its hit and miss but others do eventually install?

any one have any ideas whats going on?

Don't know mate. I just downloaded 4squick - no probs whatsoever. All good.

Maybe the Elopians are still trying to change everything from Ovi to Nokia and they had to shut down the beast for a little while. Maybe it runs Windows and crashed (haha)

I have similar issues almost every time but persistent tries leads to success. Odd behaviour but I just put it to another quirk in the N9 experience.

same issues with speedtest but I could install something else... Now speedtest is blocked at 'waiting' and I cannot do anything : no remove, no retry...?
Not sure what to do except waiting ;) !?

Ive had many issues with the Store, it needs fixing badly

I still can't get speedtest to install! i have given up!

is there anything i can do to force it? can i get the install file from somewhere else?

Ovi store just says "waiting" never goes any further than that!

I have cleared the history in the web browser etc but its just stuck! it looks like others have been able to install speed test!

is there anything within file box i can do to reset it?

That means that tracker is being used by another application and that's why it's waiting... you need to check and see what application is holding tracker hostage...

for speedtest intall the cnlab speedtest app then try the new speedtest app. seems to be some conflict.

Should have contacted support. I did, and they sent me an email temporarily linking to a working .deb.

They said that currently, in error, the app posted up for the N9 on Ovi store is actually a .sys (i.e. a Symbian image) rather than the required .deb. I couldn't be bothered to ask how a) how that had come to pass; or b) why the .sys was still up

Ok,

but I am very much a newbie can you explain this? I have downloaded other apps since! this one just doesn't work

when i first go in and click on it in download history it comes up with "download" if i click it nothing happens it will still say "download" if i go to the last tab again it will say waiting.

this is so annoying hope you help!

I just posted above, the cnlabs speed test app is conflicting with it, download that one first, then try to download the speedtest app after that. It worked for me, I was having the same issue.
