does anyone know how to remove the download app icon. When you long press on it to delete it. nothing happens

This is probably the bug with updating icon-less apps (e.g. calendar feed) through the store.

If you've got developer mode enabled you can clear it up by deleting the offending file in /usr/share/applications/installer-extra, otherwise it should be fixed in the next firmware update.
At a push, someone (possibly me) could also rustle up a tiny app to kill these phantom icons.

I had the same icon it has to be one of your apps for me it was a calender app. So start deleting the apps.

Any idea of fixing these.. I got 7 already and it's quite annoying!

..6 now. I didn't do anything with the phone.

Gotcha! Deleted 'em via /usr/share... BUT What!? They keep spawning back like goblins in rpg's. What the heck?

do you have apps for meego installed as well as the testing repository?
try uninstalling both of them.

if it still doesn't work could you post all the apps you've installed maybe one of us could point out the offending app.

I had already started a thread on this! any help for me please? I do not have developers mode on? but wonder if you can manaully delete these files in file box.

the only way to get rid of them for me is to reinstall the app!

if so can you try uninstalling shortcuts and calendar feed

That did the trick, now I've got 10 icons less on my app screen. Thanks alot mate!

I don't have either of these apps and i still can't get rid of these icons?

i cant uninstall angrybirds classic, this one only, strangely the app is gone from my app list but the desktop icon still remain and changed to a green color and unclickable, :/

the icon is green only, i have check it to that path, but whats the name of that green icon, the angrybirdclassic icon has gone already, zzzz
