Given the past, I would give Nokia at least 9 weeks from beta to release for an overlapping software(meaning an update of an existing product software version in the wild)

In Switzerland, we got the update through Software Updater. So you have to get hold of a windows machine and update through it. That is how I updated mine.

What's more puzzling, why does Nokia create such versions by colour?
Anyway, the white one has a different code than the black 64GB, and the firmware update rollout is per code...
The code of my phone is 059M8W6, and there's only the 10.2011.34.1 firmware available for that one (checking with Navifirm).

I put the firmware for 059L5D4, which is the Switzerland Black 64GB device.
Do you really have a white 64GB N9? What's your N9 id code (on the back of the SIM tray)?
If it's 059M8W6, that means navifirm can't find all firmwares - which would be really good to know, if not, then you have a different N9 than I, and mine likely still doesn't have an official PR1.1 firmware...

Hopefully soon, I don't understand why they did not fix those 2 super annoying bugs since 1.1 already. Forgets passwords and "swipe to close" does not match current screen orientation.

My N950 is significantly slower with PR1.2 than before.

How would that be possible outside of the developer pre loaded 1.2 N9?

Symbian phones had diffeerent wallpapers for different phone colors. WP have tiles matching the body. Maybe the white N9 has a slightly different theme?

I see no difference with the white N9 before or after flashing PR1.1 for the black version... other than the regular delta (Swype, etc).

Priceddrop of N9 in sweden. N9 is dead in sweden very soon. If I had some money I would buy some more as backup...

My guess is PR1.2 is not out before N9 is dead.

I have no hopes left for N9. Even if its a good phone.

The "Maego" era is pretty soon over :(

Actually I dont see any hope on Qt the next billion is also not comming it seems.

Howevere Qt is still alive and kicking as opensource project but I doubt we will see any GOOD new HW based on it.

There's been some big drops here, but I still see many outlets reaching for more stock.
It was always a bit pricey anyway & needed to drop,* so I'm not sure it's all over yet.

Probably in the teclo & telco reseller sectors in most launch countries...
But in the various retail channels it'll live for at least as long as the N900.
Of course, longer-term that means it won't sell anywhere near as well as the Lumia's.
But I still think it will sell much better than the N900 (N900 wasn't given the same opportunities).

Plus I was assured personally by someone very close to the Meltemi project.
That it's very much alive and well, & on the the same scale as Harmattan, if not more.
Of course actions/products speak louder than words, & so far we've seen little of that.
So I can understand the doubt....

But this is all off-topic, & this thread needs to die anyway.

*although still cheaper than the iPhone4.

I agree with the Meltemi information. It's alive. I've heard about some technical decisions made (but I won't talk about them, of course, as Nokia wouldn't like that).

The companys is needed. And my point stays MaeGo/Meltemi seems to be doomed. Nokia have to show the next billion and QT ASAP!!! Or else no devs will continue support it.

I do know what you mean, but most of people knew what their buying. They knew what N9 can and can't do. I rely more on the use based content that on OVI store. If I need something that I can't find I just code it myself.

N9 and meego are dead but the amazing people in this forum and all around the world are the true heart of it that will never stop beating :D <3
