Tried it but found it not very intuitive... I think I will check the manual and "quickstart" http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mark.ha...tml#quickstart
Thank you! |

Wow, looks very neat, but I have no idea what I'm doing. Seems like a very original concept. Nice find.

Absolutely loved Mega Lo Mania (or Tyrants on the Genesis). In case people don't know what this is a clone of...
http://www.mobygames.com/game/mega-lo-mania One of the great 'god' games. slaapliedje |
Re: [Announce] Gigalomania (2D real time strategy game) on extras-devel
Ok, maybe not THAT original concept in the end, but unlike any other maemo game for sure and works sweetly (thought more about Populous, frankly, still a treat)

Who doesn't know MegaLoMania? It was huge on the MegaDrive and Amiga.

At the time of amiga I had Atari800XL :) C64 wars, oh yeah. Apple vs M$ of the time, heh. UK was strange with ZX Spectrum rage, good times

OFFTOPIC
Quote:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzcIoSFXltY It is not game yet, and there are nobody working on it, but of course we can speculate how that would work with touchscreen, lowering+raising land is so intuitive with left+right mouse buttons. - Openpopulous is not ready either and is clone of populous3: https://sourceforge.net/projects/openpopulous/ |

Re: [Announce] Gigalomania (2D real time strategy game) on extras-devel
Oh my, I can't belive I've missed it - I remember playing it on amiga to the oblivion :) Thanks, AapoRantalainen, for another gaming gem from you!
/Estel //Edit And really it *is* from Aapo - he is even listen in main-page's credits. Congratulations! Feature request - instead of having one-button interface hardcoded, could we be able to select it from options? Some people have right and middle mouse buttons already, using xbindkeys and xdotool (for example, fn + tap = right click). It would be more conveinent to play this way. Even if, for some reasons, xbindkeys and xdotool events wouldn't be caught by gigalomania, it shouldn't be too hard to bind fn + tap as right click, from inside program (HomeworldSDL does that, amongst many others, so code could be scavenged from other projects). /Estel |
