Re: Why i cant upgrade my n9 to pr1.2? ):

The app updates you're seeing have nothing to do with the recent PR1.2 release.
If it's a telco branded phone you won't get it right away.
telco's can take forever to approve the appropriate fw, sometimes they never do.
Aside from that it's not rolled-out to every region at the same time.
So even if you had a unbranded (unlocked) N9, you'd still have to wait till it's in your region.
Do some searching on how to use navifirm...
Once you're familiar with it you may decide to manually flash/update.
Because if you don't do that, you may be waiting for one, two, three mths, or forever.
Also often the update appears sooner in NSU than it does via OTA.

Re: Why i cant upgrade my n9 to pr1.2? ):

You don't have to change prod code, it may be possible to use one of the other fw images.
Please, don't keep this thread going....
There's so many threads about updating/flashing that it's not funny anymore.
Find them, take some time to read them, & you will have no problem.
If you are still confused, ask your questions in one of them...

Its not available on Navifirm at the mo sadly - so product code route may be the only way.

I'm having difficulty upgrading as well. The update appears on my phone, and I've successfully downloaded it, however, when I try to install the update, the N9 gets stuck at 0% and reads, "Update Interrupted" and asks me to either "try Again" or "cancel" I've rebooted the phone and "tried again" several times, but still no luck. Anyone have any idea what the problem may be? I was thinking of deleting the download file and then re-downloading it and trying the update again. Would this help? If you think it will, where does the download file get saved to?

Really, none of the images?
Haven't had a chance to read all the latest 1.2 threads yet, thanks.

Thanks, will read through this and see what the deal is. I don't mind waiting if there's a problem with the update procedure, I have back up phones but I cut my sim card to work with this one.

Wow, so it looks like a lot of people are having problems not only getting the update to install, but having the update work properly. Looks like Nokia has a lot of damage control to do in the next couple of days.

The pr1.2 system update downloads but fails to install. I've clicked re-try and it downloads another 1mb and then fails to install. I've tried this several times - always with the same results. The wlan connect keeps dropping (even though it was fine and I was able to download the 283mb update). There are 14 other application updates available. I've been able to instal several ofl them. Maps update won't install - says it needs system update. Does anyone know what is going on or how to fix it?

Well my story is a little bit more frustrating. I saw the update in the afteroon and I started it. after being stucked for a while at 0 percent it gave me an update interupted error. I said fine I'lly try rebooting, no luck I said ok maybe dev mode is at fault so I turned it off, nada, I said well lets start fresh so I Cleared data and restored settings but nothing changed and as a gift I can't use devel-su any more after enabling dev mode for no apparent reason and the only solution was to reflash. So I was pretty angry at the time but I said f it I'm flashing it for the first time. But that was not the end apparantly Nokia does not offer the source for their fffffing flasher they only offer .deb packages and I use Arch Linux on both my desktop and my laptop so I will have to log in my dads pc and use windows instead tomorrow. So yeah FAK YOU Nokia FAK YOU

I encountered the same problem.

My way to fix it is removing all the list file except aeige one under folder /etc/apt/sources.list.d/. Then refresh your updates again in "setting-application-manage application". Afterwards, it should work.

BTW, you can use # to comment all the sources in the list files instead of removing the file.

I greatly appreciate your brilliance! Although you will have to forgive me for doubting even for a second that this would work. I commented out the entries in the .list files as you suggested (there were only two). I refreshed. The familiar "updating" with 0% appearred ... and didn't change for a bit. But after a few minutes it was at 5%. It's now at 51% and I'm confident it will complete.

Again, thanks! I hope I can help someone one-tenth as much.

All PR 1.1.1 devices have yet to get the PR 1.2 update. I'm waiting alongside you as well.

Agreed, it's AWESOME!

I renamed those apt files to [name].list-off, and that worked as well. No need to delete them. I'm at 40% now, and I hope that the update will work just fine.

It worked for me as well. First I struggled, because I did not refresh the update section - so you have to click refresh (even though it does not seem to have a visible effect) to make it work.

This thread is redundant....

We already have a thread for discussing this:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=82612&page=42
More appropriate sub-form too...

Sorry, jalyst, but this thread is about a specific problem and that thread is cluttered with people happy about their updates. I'd rather keep this one.

By the way, none of the fixes mentioned in this or that thread worked for me. Does anybody know of an alternative that doesn't involve flashing my device?

No problem here....
But the danger is that you'll miss lots of useful info. that's being posted there.
It's a much higher volume thread...
Sure there's the odd "happy person", but the emphasis is on "how to upgrade".
It makes little sense to split-up that debate.

If I try to delete the file meecatalog.list or osa.list I get an error that it can't delete it, I am using the app file manager.
