Hi all!

I have reported these bugs which I have found in PR1.2. Please vote/comment and please add more problems/bugs to this thread. Let's nail these bastards!

1. SMS line spacing way too big. Looks ugly and wastes space:

2. The same problem with web browser. The list of most visited sites wastes space with too bug line spacing:

3. The camera has problems performing a proper auto focus. Often it can't get a focus but keeps on trying. The focus goes back and forth many times:

4. I have N9 setup so that 3G internet is automatically opened when needed. It also shuts down automatically. (3G set to automatic, background connections disabled). Works well except Calendar can't sync Google calendar (MfE) manually. Fetching email, for example works well.

5. Maps still has a bug that causes it to use wrong Starting point when doing multiple initial route calculations. It uses the correct location the first time you calculate a route, but if you move at all and perform another route calculation it doesn't update the Starting point properly:

pr 1.2 itself is laggy, thats a bug

I don't know if this is PR 1.2 related, but 3 games I've downloaded after updating just, the sound is at full volume. The h/w volume buttons doesn't work with mediasound in those games. When trying to turn the volume down it turns the ringer volume up or down?
It works with all preinstalled games and media apps.
Can't check if it's the games or the update as Meego doesn't allow to downgrade.

Allow background connections while roaming just doesn't work. Was roaming with 1.2 with Allow Background Connections, but, my push email stopped working and data was constantly off unless I initiated a connection. Annoying.

Turning off "Face recognition" in gallery solved the problem of sluggyness. I had low fps from time to time when swiping throught the home screens, and also camera app would hang very often, now it's all gone. Try that.

I actually like the spacing. To me its easier to read.

Are you sure you like the spacing? I understand that someone wants bigger fonts but having excessive space between lines is just plain ugly. And this seems to be the general consensus.

I'm still on PR 1.1 (not update for me yet) and I got this bag after the last update, the three things that are related to developer mode. Some ten days before:(

Any help with this?

Ok so i got 2 automatic connections. WLAN for when at home, 3.5G when on the go

Got internet enabled with no background connections(so when it's time to update it should just connect to WLAN or 3G)

I got facebook and twitter accounts that I can get feeds for(set them 1 hour update)

I got a gmail account that i also update every 1 hour

The small issue is that it DOES NOT update ANYTHING. It did it for the first day or so after P.R. 1.2 and now nothing at all =[

Am i doing something wrong?

I think you should allow background connections (check the documentation - that i -symbol beside the toggle button) in order for email updates to work.

So how come it worked with it off before? As far as i know all background connection does is allows the internet connection to stay off forever.

The contacts option is gone in mfe for syncing contacts in gmail. So there is no way of syncing contacts with gmail. It was the in pr 1.1.

Do you have the application "File Manager" installed? If so, uninstall it and check for updates again. You might need a restart after the uninstallation.

well i connected to the internet and enabled background connections, so the the connections would stay on forever. And i change my feed update time to every 10 minutes and after half an hour nothing happened at all. This is really getting annoying

Please report a bug. Remember that reporting a bug is a sure way to let developers know these things!

Yeah, I like the new font/spacing too. It's so much better IMHO.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this too, but in the calendar, the week starts on a Sunday and can't be changed.
I tried changing it to Monday through "settings --> apps --> calendar" but it stays stuck at Sunday.
In PR1.1, I could change it from Sunday to Monday, but after every restart it would revert back to Sunday and I'd have to change it again.
Other than that PR1.2 seems to be working fine (OTA update, 16GB/Black/Indonesian).

i dont know if its somewhere already but the facebook app does not show if there are 2 following messages. for example, one person sent me 2 messages in a row. only the first was shown. if possible, someone put that into the bug tracker.

Anyone have problems to navigate in text you write on Internet and here at the maemo org. The marker should follow the magnifying glass when use it, the same way as it does when you use the magnifying glass for an URL Otherwise, why add a magnifying glass when it's not working in all text fields? Really annoying! :mad:

After update PR1.2 smartsearch always use >90% CPU and nerver stop.

PR 1.2 to me is a fantastic update. Everything feels faster and smoother, with the (minor) exception of one. I noticed that videos play a teeny, tiny jerky with PR 1.2. It's not the kind of lag you get when you attempt to play 720p Main or High profile H.264 files, but it IS there. It's like videos skip some frames. It's very, very subtle, but it is there. I've tried it with all video files I used to have, but still got the same results. Hell, even the Nokia Pure and Dolby videos that come preloaded suffer from this minor problem. For the record, I did a reflash of the device, and a fresh PR 1.2 install on it. No mods whatsoever.

Tried H.264, DIVX, and XVID. Was wondering if I was the only one who suffers from this problem. It's no big deal, but it definitely is there. My friend has an N9, but hasn't upgraded to PR 1.2 yet. Loaded the same, exact videos on his device. His plays as smooth as butter, but mine has that weird frame skipping/jerky/lag thing.

Mine bricked after the update. Couldn't flash it either, was giving me an error with large yellow triangle and device no working properly. Sent it to PALCO in the USA to try to flash it for me. What a piece of crap for a phone.

Usually it settles down, but in some usage scenarios it doesn't.
I recall the bug report for that, alas I can't recall the number.
It wasn't widespread in 1.1 compared to other bugs...
It was definitely fixed, but IIRC it wasn't fixed in time for 1.2.
