Re: Forum Email Integration
The problem should be fixed now.
Receiving emails should be instant. Posting is scheduled every 15 minutes (minimum cron setting in vbulletin). |
Re: Forum Email Integration
This can be done for an specific post/thread?
I would be better for some people to recieve just the reply for an specific post/thread than all new posts/replies for a entire forum. Greetings. |

Re: Forum Email Integration
Is there a way to make the "Daily updates by email" option include the actual text of the new posts in the email (even if without the ability to reply)?

Re: Forum Email Integration
Thanks for this Reggie!
Before the notifications had a convenient link to the first unread pst in a thread. The new notifications only offer (as far as I can see) a link to the first post of a thread. Is it possible to keep offering the convenient link in order to save a click? Note: I'm not in the email notifications group. I just subscribe to threads from time to time. |
Re: Forum Email Integration
I have added the "&goto=newpost" on the link, so it should bring you to the first unread post on that thread.
Thanks Quim. |
Re: Forum Email Integration
It works. I just come here after clicking that link in an email notification. :)

The standard feature allows that already. Here's an example of what is sent for the "Daily updates by email" option: Quote:

Re: Forum Email Integration
How does the "reply area" work with quoting? i.e. if I reply to an email, my email client hardwraps the lines and puts "> " at the start of each line. Are these automatically stripped?
Similarly, is it possible to strip out single newlines (at >~55 characters) from emails before posting them? Currently they're getting newlines into the forum post, rather than soft-wrapping. |
Re: Forum Email Integration
I got the same error message, but I could still activate the notifications under Edit Forum Subscriptions. Haven't actually tested it yet though..

Every now and then (about a third of the time), I get a notification email with a bogus
