N9 and Playstation 3
Maybe I should be in playstation forum but ill try here. I cant get my ps3 to see my n9 (or my girlfriend^s n8). Its all connected wireless to my d link 655. I read in another tread that with some it just worked and others got it working so I guess I am wondering how?
Sorry for bad English. |

Set up DLNA properly? Turned on DLNA? Turned on your PS3? It connected for me, but would randomly disconnect. |

go to settings >device > media sharing settings > then it says Media Sharing Allow media sharing with DLNA-enabled devices. that needs to be clicked on. That should work then. |

Re: N9 and Playstation 3
My guess would be that your router is blocking some multicast stuff which lets the two devices effectively scan the network for each other. Log into it and have a look round to see if there's any option that jumps out.

Re: N9 and Playstation 3
The PS3 has huge problems with IGMP snooping enabled routers. I had to disable that on my router to make my PS3 see my dlna servers.
On some routers (like my Thomson) this option is hidden deep in the CLI and not visible in the WebGUI. |
