Would you purchase a facebook phone?
I can't think of a single reason, but apperantly lots of people would.
This is the third attempt http://www.gsmarena.com/facebook_all...-news-4303.php |

Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?
just for using facebook buy a another phone running with that Green Robot ? Why not install facebook app and use it on everyphone. or just add Facebook bookmark on N900's homescreen and whenever you want to enjoy facebook click on it and enjoy it and also you can enjoy full version of FB's website.

Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?
Only if it came with Maemo and with hardware quality as great as Nokia's!

Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?
God NO!
I find it terrible when phone companies place social networking services over the all other features of the handset (both in advertising and the ability to make calls in some cases). The last thing we need is another dumbphone manufacturer. |
Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?

yummy, lol, i bet if theyre in a hungry state when developing android, duh |
Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?
a facebook phone would only make sense if they offer something super compelling that the competition doesn't.
the only thing i can think of now is the brand name - facebook. if they start cutting out android and ios from certain features (making themexclusive only to the facebook phone), they may get sued for being anti-competitive. :) |
Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?
Not in the least. I don't have a FB account now, no way I'll ever have one in the near future, if ever.
Doesn't appeal to me at all. |
Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?
They should add these special features to this phone :
1. Camera : separated cpu for autofocus , this is for the best focus on duck faces and muscles 2. Internet : permanent scanning location and sharing on facebook every 3 minutes 3. Hardware : these phones detect each other so people won't have problems with ex-partners and other people they don't want to see . The phone will simply show a notification about distance and location where non-wanted person is . 4. Security : If the phone it's stolen , when the thief changes the facebook account with his account , the phone will silently take a photo with front camera and post it on his wall with "I'm gay" text and his mobile number . I can't wait those duck faces taking photos in mirror with their new facebook phone . :D |
Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?

You could add a poll to your post. Would make giving our simple yes/no opinion easier.

Re: Would you purchase a facebook phone?
No, I would not purchase a Facebook phone.
I do not want an internet services vendor selling me a phone integrated with their services (If there are other services available to use, this usually ends up having the integration unfairly preferring their services) I want to be able to obtain my device and device software from an entity with little to no bias and control over the software on-device. side note: The above reasons also apply for my aversion of the Android operating system. |

But shouldn't you be touting Lumia's amazing Facebook capabilities? Not only is there official support for a stand-alone app, Windows Phone 7 actually has facebook integration baked into the OS. Contacts, their details and pictures are all updated seamlessly and organized in a beautiful, easily readable interface so that you are always connected to those who are important to you, no matter where you are. Lumia phones are for people who absolutely love facebook! You are confusing me... |

Oh really, he is so blindly in love that he cant see what is wrong with them. I love them too, but rationally, and would love to see them be more competitive. Hence my criticisms.
