[Announce] Social network status updates from status menu

unrestricted-system-ui required!

Quick status updates is a status menu plugin that allows you to post Facebook and Twitter status updates from the status menu (not many statuses there :p)

Sociality users, this will use the user you have logged into Sociality to update the status.
To configure an unconfigured account, tap its button.
To logout of an account, run social-status-updater-config in terminal as user!

To download (This version is outdated! Please use http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=85438 and apt-get install quick-status-updater instead)

mv tells my that the code that you wrote its not in the right context. mv [-fin] directory.

Also can't authorise Facebook, tells me i need to log in first but doesn't load further so i can't log in.

mv looks fine to me.
Try running social-status-updater-config in terminal to log in.
As for G+ afaik, the API is read only.

Did you try it? Doesn't work, i even entered in letter by letter. Same outcome.

@MohammadAG Is the mt-toggle Bluetooth add on for the N950? Doesn't do turn Bluetooth on, on the N9.

reboot it again and it'll work...the bt toggle is quite unreliable especially if used in conjunction with the toggle bt app

Rebooted three times in the last day, been using it for over a week, and no issues whatsoever. Very good solid and stable imo

My N9 reboot again and again and again and again and again and again since the bt toggle installed ...and i haven't installed the toggle bt app.

i have the Bluetooth icon in my status bar but pushing it does nothing, when i turn on Bluetooth the normal way the icon doesn't detect that it's on, i don't have a "Bluetooth toggle app" that might be interfering with it. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

INoticed after installing this that my shortcuts menu from the bottom no longer shows up!

iSlide up, it pauses, the stays, but none of the short cuts show now.

Also, noticed that after sending the tweet, you have to Swype down in order for it to close rather then it closing automatically after sending the update.

after it sends the update, you have to tap bottom of screen as the status menu is still showing

Its not allowing me to install, i installed the unrestricted-ui but its giving me a Aegis error... do i incept it?

EDIT: I got it to work, all I did was close all the open windows, opened a new terminal and started over... flawless install! updating FACEBOOK and TWITTER was never this easy from my N9! The official apps are seriously terrible, especially the FB one.... THANX MAN MAG your the MAN

those icons simply don't have the toggle at the bottom...not to be offensive but i remember the original version MAG released wrongly was that way without the toggle...my post at that time http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...76&postcount=8

also, i think all the status bar threads should be merged as most of the issues ppl have are quite common and repetitive...just my humble opinion...

:) Thanks MAG. Yeah I know you took original icons.. Those are also originals... I just followed the default style of greying out the icon if disabled... Btw I kindda missed the SOCIAL PLUGIN in that screenshot.. So here's new...

You mean Data Toggle? It can be added too...

And thats just a mockup... a good photoshopped image... hope that can be achieved one day...
