Broken n900 (Advice needed)

Hello!
I recently dropped my n900 and this is what it looks like now.http://www7.pic-upload.de/28.06.12/6cb2z6j1zb5m.jpg
I have been to a Nokia partner place, they have said it will be around 200 Euros(260 Dollars)

I looked for a LCD Display on ebay, but prices vary from 50 to 200 dollars. Can somebody please tell me which exactly do i need or maybe there are china displays out there?

Thanks in advance.

200 Euros for a replacement screen????
You could replace the whole phone for less on ebay.

All you would need is a replacement LCD screen. There's another screen over the top of that, called the "digitizer". That part doesn't look damaged so you should get away without replacing that.

Really up to you. If you want to pay around 50-60 Euros for a third party replacement or go for a genuine Nokia replacement.

There shouldn't be any difference between original nokia LCD replacement and 50-60 dollar one, right?
I know 200 Euro is a lot, i think i could buy two used n900...

The third party screens will more than likely be made from inferior materials compared to the original Nokia parts, and they may also have dead pixels.

just buy a used N900 off ebay and use your broken one as a secondary battery/charger.

Around the new N900 on eBay topic - can someone, please, point out an eBay seller who have geniuine, new N900 and is worth to trust. I'm looking to buy second new, and since on eBay there is plenty sellers offering NEW N900 (all diffrent locations such as HK, CHIN, USA) I'm bit conffiused.

Thanks in advance.

Not new, but from time to time, I have used N900's in very good condition (with foil on screen), and reinforced USB port, for sale. Those devices are checked by me, to ensure that every sensor/part works for 100% - I'm also the one doing USB port "upgrade". Price is always around 180 euro + shipping.

As - counting from Your nickname - You're from Poland, You may consider it, as shipping would be extremely cheap.

you can have it fixed for 62.50€ on ebay
i am not sure if you can find a original screen on ebay but i would dig a bit for that because it might turn out to be cheaper.

i would suggest you to buy a used N900 (maybe between 100 -150€) and keep the broken one. if for example the usb port will break you can swap spare parts. or look for a defective n900. i bought a "faulty" n900 for 73€ (incl. shipping) and after reflashing it once it works perfectly :)

edit: did not see your post that you already have new screen.

Well Estel, currently I'm watching the one You have listed on A.PL But as long as it will be possible tgo find new one I shall look for one. I'm just wondering about stuff fron Hong Kong, when You have to pre-defined You country for the spec You will recive. And the prices there are ok. Do You know anything about that?
