I'm really curious as to how this will go down.

Frankly, I think they're biting more than they can chew. It'll turn out to be vaporware.

Their only option seems to be a 7in tablet for a good balance of price/features and novelty (I'm guessing most Maemo fans have "upgraded" phones to iOS/Android ecosystem wont want to replace their daily driver). But most of us with N900 haven't really bought into the tablet race yet.

I'm hoping they merge efforts with the Vivaldi tablet group, as well as the other MeeGo-Veterans and ARMopenSUSE-group. They need an easy (but successful) task first before they get ambitious.

Though my NOTE wouldn't mind a taste of 'nix, heh :D

i hope that any maemo.org members who has facebook account will join the jollafanpage.so far we have few jolla employees that constntly updated about the status of the fledgling company.

if jolla cant use swipe. adopt the maemo6 never released ui. jollamobile need to be pure touch.

the first phone from jolla need to convience people it is n9 successor

Why?
They have made it clear that they have no intentions to support N9, N950. If anything i hope they don't mention MeeGo ever again after they announce their own soft.

They want to be independent as far as possible, why they didn't for example go for Android.
