Re: How do I remove the wallpaper on Harmattan??!
You can "change" the wallpaper here:
settings> Wallpaper you dont want a wallpaper literally, then just find a completely black image and set it as wallpaper. You can disable the "standby" screen here: Settings> Device> Display> Stand-by screen If you want something else, then किसी और से पूछो। |
Re: How do I remove the wallpaper on Harmattan??!
remove the image(s) in /home/user/.wallpapers and reboot.
It is funny that you can set a wallpaper in the settings application, but there is no option to unset this setting. |

Re: How do I remove the wallpaper on Harmattan??!
@ZogG
Sorry but maybe I have not expressed myself correctly (my lack of english). I have imported 3 photos that I made with an external camera into the gallery. In the Gallery I've marked these photos as wallpaper, so they appear under Settings / Wallpapers I'll never use these photos again as a wallpaper, but I want to keep them in the gallery. So they are no longer shown under the wallpapers listed under Settings / wallpapers, I have deleted all 3 with filebox from home/user/wallpapers or home/user/MyDocs/wallpapers (don't remember where they was). Now they seem not be more in these roots, but when I go to the mobile phone settings / wallpaper, then 2 of them are still listed among the selectable wallpapers. So my question is, what can be done that this fotos are not listed under the selectable wallpapers in phone settings/wallpapers? Edit: Now.I've understand that you mean where is the problem if they are shown there. Of course that's not a problem, but the sake of clarity I would like that they are not more shown there, so I asked what's to do or what I've done wrong. Thats all. |

@nicolai
Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't help. 2 of 3 wallpapers are still show in settings/wallpapers after they was deleted with filebox from the directory and no more listed there. And yes, I've rebooted a few times. |
Re: How do I remove the wallpaper on Harmattan??!
You are right.
in xterm: gconftool -u /desktop/meego/background/portrait/history gconftool -u /desktop/meego/background/portrait/original_filename removes the imagehistory in your wallpaper selection dialog gconftool -u /desktop/meego/background/portrait/picture_filename removes the current wallpaper |
Re: How do I remove the wallpaper on Harmattan??!
[QUOTE=nicolai;1245815]You are right.
in xterm: [B]gconftool -u /desktop/meego/background/portrait/history Thank you so much! I had to run only the above command to remove the two incriminated wallpapers from the imagehistory in my wallpaper selection dialog. I mean gconftool -u /desktop/meego/background/portrait/original_filename was not necessary. This maybe because, how I said before, I removed the wallpapers before with filebox from <home/user/wallpapers> and <home/user/MyDocs/wallpapers>. |

I tried deleting mine in the FileBox .walpapers folder, but folder is empty, so I ran the xterm command and reboot, but no results. My custom added wallpapers are still in the settings. |
Re: How do I remove the wallpaper on Harmattan??!
I removed the 3 wallpapers from home/user/wallpapers and maybe also from home/user/MyDocs/wallpapers. After that they was no more listed in this directorys, but two of them remained in the wallpaper gallery. So I run the first command in xterm given by nicolai. If I'm not wrong I run only
gconftool -u /desktop/meego/background/portrait/history |

... This topic is half year old but anyway, your problem is that you created a cropped preview from ur photos which are not stored anywhere. All u have to do is to rename the photo ur wallpaper image consists of =) Then it simply disappears from the Wallpapers |
