Hi.... I was playing gta3 the other day on a friend his Samsung galaxy 2 or 3 i don,t remember but that,s not important...

What my question is ? Is it possible to (port) gta3 or make gta3 work on a nokia n9 without having to install nitdroid..
i know that i have THE MOST AWESOME phone on the planet... So i know a game like this is possible on the nokia n9... I don,t play any games on my phone... And i mean any games... But this game is epic... And i am a really big gta fan... So i would love to see this happen on my beloved NOKIA N9 WITHOUT NITDROID

if you can get the developers to release the source code sure, but i doubt rockstar ever will, or will even spend there time making a port for the n9

Hi.... I was playing gta3 the other day on my sgs2 or 3 i cant remember because I have too many stacks....

What my question is? please excuse my bad english it not my first language....

Is it possible to port gta 3 onto my nokia N9 because I want to show my friends how much cooler I am then they are and that I didn't waste money on this phone because I can't run stupid apps that don't matter...

I will say some positive things about meego so you guys think I'm serious

You have to forgive my ignorance.. I do not have much knowlodge of meego/maemo and/or Qt development (getting beter though). I can only code.HTML/CSS... But to make a long story short IF ! I respect your determination, but it's not practical....

I also like that you like the N9 so much :)

It's not a practical thing because we need the source... If we had that it could be done, but still seems like a lot of effort.

While I highly doubt this will ever happen (who knows if Jolla can get some sway), if it ever does, for the love of god, don't have them sell it through Ovi so that Nokia can disallow people in the US from getting it.

That happened with The Sims 3 and Bejeweled and I'm sure a few others.

just a side question.. Let's say it's possible.. Is the GPU on N9 powerful enough to run it smoothly? MeeGo itself takes a lot of RAM from 1GB, so I'm not sure if the available RAM is enough to get it running.

Yes, it should be possible... There are hacks/mods to increase the amount of ram that is available if needed...

We don't get the full 1gb ram from factory.

And yes indeed i like the N9 very much that's why i would love to see more cool stuff being done with it. (like everybody else here i guess)LOL.

I guess you are right it has to be practical. And like i said it's a long shot. (more like a shot in the dark).So it's really not practical at all.

So i guess if we want to play GTA 3 on the N9 we have to use Nitdroid:mad:

really? We can increase available RAM? Other than FasterN9 or Drop cache? I didn't know that.. Gotta check it out.

Don't use faster N9, it messes up tracker....

Some things have been done, I want to test more before I release anything....

Yup, it is, I've tested a few N9's with it, i'm slowly adding more... Waiting on 10 more successful set ups before I release it :)
