Re: changing default camera folder
Once I tried to change folder where camera-ui (one from CSSU, but should also apply to stock) save photos - I wanted it to use folder on my truecrypt partition.
It turned out to be surprisingly hard - You can't of course, just symlink it from vfat. Editing all config files that people pointed me to was to no avail. I'm still shaking my head about it. /Estel |
Re: changing default camera folder
To change the default camera location, the only thing I found was to click the rectangle icon next to the 999 in the bottom left corner. There's an option there to change between internal storage or external storage...
This was probably what Estel was refering to but to another partition... |

Iīve recently flashed my phone and all the photos I take are stored directly in MyDocs or in mmc1 but not in their respectivly folder (camera or DCIM) How can I change this? Thanks |
Re: changing default camera folder
You probably have this directory.
But I guess you tried to enter it as root-user and cd ~/.config would cd you to '/root/.config' then but it is the directory /home/user/.config/ where you find the file 'user-dirs.dirs' responsible for these directories. |
Re: changing default camera folder
Hi to all I have not that file present on my N900... I also try to find it with
find / -name *filename* but the result is "No such file or directory" |

Re: changing default camera folder
You can create the file if you don't have it although be careful with the paths...

Re: changing default camera folder
Idea: Mount some directory at DCIM with the --bind option, that may work.

How it should be? "Idea: Mount some directory at DCIM with the --bind option, that may work." How to do Sorry for being noob :( |
Re: changing default camera folder
Just throwing mount and bind into google gives results like this:
http://www.edmondscommerce.co.uk/lin...s-only-better/ Put it into fstab to make the change permanent, else it will vanish after a restart. If you don't know what fstab is: google it and read carefully. You may brick you phone if you do it wrong. You could post the resulting fstab here before saving it, so somebody can tell you if its ok. No more info from me, I have an exam tomorrow. |
