[Announce] Mawakit Prayer Times
 

Hi,

Here is my first application for Meego Harmattan (Nokia N9/N950)

Mawakit focuses on providing accurate prayer times and precise Qibla direction readings for Muslims. Mawakit calculates prayers times in different methods and will notify the user when it is time to pray!

Features:

• Prayer times for any city round the globe
• To determine your current location you can use a large database of cities or GPS or manual settings
• Displays prayer times for: Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha
• Qibla direction for selected city. The Magnetic Compass is corrected to point toward the True north
• Islamic Events with the freedom of moving between Hijri years
• Multiple Hijri and Prayer Time Calculation method adjustments
• Several selectable Adhans for prayers
• Personalized setup for prayer notifications
• App fully translated to Arabic, English, French, Turkish, Dutch and Bengali

hi there thx for this great app.im from malaysia n found that prayer time in this app not same as actual prayer time here.hope u can fixed it in next update =)

^ you have go in settings and set the calculation method according to what is used in your area, then it'll be fine. Try setting it to "Egyptian General Authority of Survey" for Malaysia. If that didn't work, try setting it to "Department of Islamic Development Malaysia" or "Muslim World League".

See if the times are fine now and report back here.

This app is great but i am bit confused about qibla direction. How to see where qibla is using this app? :confused:

You absolutely right bro, I dont know how to use a compass without degrees on it..I usually use a compass with degrees so that i can adjust that, but how to use this one. I couldnt find on net also. can you plz tell me.

I tried the near mosque finder, but it doesn't find the mosques that are here....

Is there a way to add missing mosques to the map?
(Maybe you can use google maps to show those things?)
oh by the way, can you please use Transifex to add more translations to Mawakit?

Would be better with adding new strings.
I can fix the Dutch and Turkish translations with this much easier

Hi,

Please can you change the city (to Mekkah or Medina...) and see if it gives you a result ?

I use Google Places API to show mosques. So you can add places to Google Maps directly (I think!).

I've updated the translation files in Transifex. Help would be welcome :)

I can help you to translate this in Abanian language if you want cuz I think are to many albanian nokia n9 users... :D
