[Request/Idea] Modding the Quick Launch Bar
 

Hello everybody, I have an idea which I would like to see in the N9, since I can not do this as I am NOT a developer, I would like to share an idea which I hope somebody makes :) It is not essential or anything, but may be useful :D Maybe we can customize the quick launch bar just like in iPhone/iPod/iPad, we can maybe mod it to have infinite icons, or add controls to it, just like we do in the Statusbar, is that possible? Thanks.

No-one is born a developer. It's a skill you learn, so why not start? Making a statement such as "I can not do this as I am NOT a developer" doesn't make any sense.

I don't think I did - this is just an example that for sure at least partial modification of quicklaunch bar is possible. As a proof of concept - as for going further (more icons, swiping left-right for another set of icons) - no idea.

Hey AMD... thinking of creating a new thread but I have a similar idea as yours... Not hijacking your idea :p
Why we get somethig from IPOD but I was thinking of a new quick launch bar on the sides one similar to the current one.. :D

On right for quick dials and on left for few apps and on top with few settings or tweaks.... :confused:

What do you think?:)

Any way to disable the quick launch bar?
I Don't need it because I'm using swipe manager.
I'm just opening as an accident if I swipe to slow.

you're provided nothing to support, all you've done is say "wouldn't it be cool if X". that's great, start working on X. if you don't have enough faith in your idea to investigate the feasibility of it, why should anyone else bother?'

stop complaining and start coding. or alternately, just stop posting.
